So anyhow, I've wondered this for a while, why aren't these VR HMDs cheaper? Aren't they just like displays attached to movement sensors? For instance the Wii U or PSVita and 3DS can use the in built gyros to change the picture based on where you move it. So one would assume that two little displays, one for each eye connected to gyros would be quite similar. Now I know there is the issue of drift, but one would assume that an external device would be able to track absolute position in the same way that PS Move's light is tracked by the PS Eye camera.
I know these new VR units are going to super duper high frequency positional movement and probably HD displays etc. But what's stopping a company bringing out cheaper devices? These HMDs are £500 or more.
Yeah he was also Justin Hammer in the 1994 Iron Man Animated Series.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
I can't see me getting this soon either. I'm developing a cumbersome backlog as is. It's just nice to know that one day, my 3DS will have played more games than SMB3DL and aLbW.
That's exactly what Morpheus does. It uses the technology of Move to enable for more precise tracking.
As for why they aren't cheaper, I think $300 for an Oculus (albeit a devkit) is good value. You also have to consider R&D, patents and whatnot. The software these things use is cutting edge in terms of reducing latency, and as with everything that's cutting edge, you pay premium for it. I could see the price dropping in the next couple of years, but never to a point where they'd be considered cheap. It's too much of a niche product to ever become mainstream cheap.
And he was in Babylon 5 as one of the humans who worked for the Shadows.
Sony has done HMD before, most tech starts off expensive then comes down. I don't see why there isn't a lower tech, cheaper option that's all. When I can move my tablet about and it acts as a virtual screen in 3D to show me a holiday destination from all angles. Wii Street U does it fine, there's no real latency there. A couple of gyros on a headband with a couple of small displays attached, why not?
Anyone know any good jpop tunes?
Link me up.
Is there even an answer to this question?
No.

FUCK!!!
Always go with meth. Any Juggalo will tell you that.
