I just got the vita, wow that was fast. In great condition, few scratches on the frame but the screen is perfect. I like it black. So I am redownloading everything and I found I have Disgaea 3... do I want to play that?
It's apparently a great game if you have 150 hours of your life to put into it.
I really hope the little girl you bought it from gets well.

These parents need to do a kickstarter, or something where it is much easier to donate money.
But why? There are no more levels visibly to be unlocked?
Okay screw that.
Are they new levels or just remixes and how many are there?
I finished Lego Marvel, meh. And did the final few SM 3D World levels. Next up I need to finish off Deus Ex and start AC4.
Its one toad level, not hard. One of those house challenges level, like 30 rooms, impossible. And a brand new normal level that is pure evil.
Is this anything like Sendible Soccer? I used to love that game

So yeah that Eurogamer article, was, as I said just about developing a launch game on pre-retail SDKs that kept changing. It's not the same situation now and we know from Criterion who were working on NFS between launch and spring when it released that the situation quickly changed, given when they were doing Most Wanted it literally must have been a month after launch or something when the tools etc started getting better. The way that Eurogamer article was presented was as if it was saying that working on the system is still a total quagmire of shit and that's simply not the case. At least the developer in that article confirmed what I was saying about the out of order CPU and "interesting features" like the huge L2 cache and GPGPU - that they had no time to take advantage of. As well as talking about the more modern GPU but he got a few things wrong. The Green Hills compiler was released later that he said, and it's generally regarded to be excellent, he got the shader model compatibility wrong, 5 does work with 4 and the GPU even has some DX11 equivalent features confirmed many times by different devs like Project Cars dev and Candle dev.
He also got the fabrication process wrong, it's not 55nm
And it's nice to finally squash the notion that the RAM is some kind of slow ass shit worse than last gen etc - when no dev has ever complained about it's fetch speed. The memory has gotten nothing but praise from devs, including Ubisoft Montpellier and Shinen who say that it can use huge uncompressed textures. Shinens' next title will use 4K textures.
So yeah, the main takeaway for me as someone who has read the CPU and GPU threads on GAF is most of this we already knew. We knew that 360/PS3 code doesn't play nice with the U. But those are old ass systems with convoluted coding that is backwards. No one would use it today on a modern system, it's there because it's been used by habit. And even the next gen systems are having CPU problems, with Project CARS dev saying that the PS4 low clock speed weak mobile processors are hard to split the games renderer between. They are used to better PC CPUs like i5s' i7s etc.
When Criterion changed their engine layout for NFS MW U they saw improvements over PS3/360 in virtually every area, frame rate, lighting, draw distance and textures. Frozenbyte saw the same thing with trine 2.
360 and PS3 are all about using the CPUs fo high floating point calculations for graphics rendering. The Wii CPU has more instructions per cycle and a shorter pipeline, it processes many more instructions per cycle but is weak on SIMD which should be handled by the graphics card.
Youtube ftw.

I never played a Sensible Soccer game, but at least from an inside-the-pitch gameplay standpoint, NSS5 seems to be very much alike. I very much agree with this review. The author keeps comparing NSS5 to Sensible Soccer throughout the review in a favorable way.
More fun version.
Former Ratchet and Clank/Skylanders developer) says the Eurogamer Wii U report is based on dated information.

You two make it sound so much worse than it actually is.
My Lego Marvel Superheroes review is up.
Vader, what did you think of Revengeance?
Nintendo sorry for not launching Wii U's Tvii service in Europe
You guys really are not missing a damned thing. I just hope not a lot of man-hours and people were spent developing it. We could have easily had something more fun like an in-console calculator.

Thought it was great but it ended up where I liked DMC and w101 more. My review is here.
"If you look at video game sales over the last 20 to 25 even 30 years and look at the top 10 games that have sold, Nintendo's probably owned five, six, seven, eight of those games on those lists.
