If Luigi's Mansion was a Wii U game, I'd go get it right now.
If it were a U game people would say it should have been an eShop game.
No way man....people are hungry for some AAA 1st-party games.
The game is very old school, very retro in a very pleasing sort of way. It reminds me of some 80s/90s PC game where you have this isometric mansion/puzzle box to solve.
I think the crass, loud mouthed dudebros would shit all over it.
Bear how goes the handling on NFS U?
I was just reading some guys on GAF saying that when they changed acceleration and braking to the right stick it made it work for them.
This is funny, IGN and Gamespot have shown their setups for playing the game and it shows how the TVs they are using are laggy compared to the gamepad screen.

Why does the rock he's standing on in the bottom pic look like it's from a mid-90s FMV? :X
Ok.
I skipped all other news today, too much April's Fools Day bullshit to wade through.
Didn't think it was going to happen!
Love the trailer, but the world does not need another sci fi shooter. I want contemporary FPS with humans. But not military.

What's the final Vader verdict on Tomb Raider?
Played some more Luigi's Mansion last night. His animation is priceless. Really I haven't seen this kind of animation in a while, it's very reminiscent of a classic era Mickey Mouse or Tom and Jerry cartoon. It's packed full of character and nuance. He's a force of nature, stumbling and bumbling about, stooping, shivering, reaching out tentatively. It's a masterclass in imbuing a model with character through animation. It's almost like a silent movie actor, with the barest use of the occasional Luigi yelp.
I scoffed at the whole year of Luigi bullshit from Iwata but this game really sells Luigi. Apart from him there is like one toad from the mario universe, everything else is apart from that franchise. Luigi can stand alone as a character when given time to shine.
Game was shipped for me last week. I hope it gets to me soon as I really want to play it, though recently stuff seems to take much longer to get to me from the UK. Bit annoying to be looking forward to playing a game, paying launch price for it and then have to wait three weeks or more to play it. Postal service here sucks. They need to privatise it already

Couldn't agree more. The only reason I'm not playing this now is because holding it off for my hospital visit when my wife gives birth.
No Boos in the game then?
Also Bowser found his way as the end boss in the original if I remember correctly ... so I would be expecting him too if I were you. I always thought that Luigi's Mansion was kind of an expansion on ideas from the Haunted House type levels found in Mario world and other Mario games but with the platforming replaced by ghostbuster type mechanics.
I think Travo was also saying how impressed he was with the animation work done with Luigi

Don't won't to spoil too much for you, bugsy, but expect some other familiar faces. I think GG was talking about the lack of Mario.
The animations and lighting effects are just stunning. It's the kind of lighting that I kind if expect from a HD system. Yes, there are jaggies, but it is a portable GC system we are playing on, right? That should be expected. They're really not noticeable 95% of the time. I love how everything runs smoothly with no slowdown.
Do you have an XL or original 3DS Travo? I'm of the impression that Leo is the only one here who has upgraded to XL while the rest of us still have the original? (Apart from Robio who sold his that is) *points finger of shame at Robio*
I am sometimes tempted by the bigger screen but I can't spend that kind of money at present on hardware I already bought - sort of.
