Speaking of, I'm trying to finish that game tonight....still having fun with it, but much of its initial wow factor (because of the graphics) wears off after awhile. While its a quality game, it doesn't have the charm that the best open world games have, and the gameplay never progresses the way that it does in GTA or Red Dead. Right now its looking at a low 8's score.

That's the theory. So you could set up your gaming PC to have Steam load on start-up and use a controller right from the start (as opposed to starting with a mouse and keyboard to navigate into the game you want to play.

On Sleeping Dog's at least it is short.  I look forward to getting it when the price drops.

Can someone explain to me why AC3 has hip hop music in its ads. Who the hell thought Colonial america and hip hop go together... its so weird.

I think they did the same thing with Ass Creed 2 if I remember correctly....it scared me.

It's largely the same formula Nintendo uses in many of it's Mario games but there's a few cool new additions and the gameplay is as well-done and as fun as ever. I dig the whole coin "overload" gimmick that has you trying to get massive amounts of coins and the games does a good job of trying to push you to top your previous stage completion records.

You can't blame them for being more conservative after PS3. That was their blow it all out push tech to the max console and it ended up at a crippling cost. This time we've heard that they are just commisioning a PC architecture, no more custom cell processor nonsense. And they are still going to push past Nintendo with ease. Given how 3rd party support has been I would say that multiplatform games would be made with Orbis specs in mind, the Durango versions would not be much better and the Wii U versions would be slightly toned down. Unless the Wii U does particularly well I cannot see them using U as a base and upgrading for Orbis/Durango.

never played The Lost Vikings, but definitely pick it up. The sequel is especially good, and I think you'd really like it. There's some really cool physics puzzles, and solid platforming, and great freedom in how you can approach the puzzles. The first game is more platforming focused with some insane moments in the latter levels, and the second is more puzzle focused and a much more consistent and polished experience.
