I then switched to the 360 and tried Halo Anniversary, neat effect doesnt add much except its Halo in 3D. The game has simple graphics so the image stays clean always. I tried Gears 3 this makes good use of 3D because the entire game is about getting behind stuff and shooting enemies farther away so the 3D enhances that hide behind something in the foreground and shot at stuff deep into the screen. But I still wouldnt play the game in 3D the first time, I think it takes a visual hit.

Then there is Crysis 2, my first time playing it, WHAT KIND OF VOODOO SHIT IS THIS?! I have never seen a game look so good, holy shit!!! And the 3D works PERFECT. It is rather subtle compared to Killzone 3 but it has none of that jaggie ugly effect going on, the game is super smooth and beautiful, the 3D only serves to enhance the mind blowing visuals. I love how the hud sits in front such a cool effect. This shoots up my list as one if not the best 3D games out there. I hear Crysis 1 on 360 also supports it.

I got a few more games that use it like Ass Creed Revelations but I will try that another day.

Give De Blob 2, SOCOM 4, Resistance 3, Crysis, Child Of Eden (The only game where the 3D effect not only looks incredible and helps a lot with the gameplay, Rocketbirds and Assassin's Creed Revelations a shot.

As for Crysis 2... it's arguably the best 3D game on the PC or consoles.

I have Theatrhythm paid for already and the points sitting and waiting on my Live Account for Spelunky! Lots of non-mainstream gaming incoming in the next few days!

As an aside, for the life of me, I couldn't remember for a moment if Theatrhythm was a 3DS or DS title. I looked it up to confirm and came across this picture:

Is it just me or do Tidus and Yuna look EXTREMELY Japanese-ie in this picture? I don't remember them looking like that in the game!

Crysis 1 on the 360 also supports extremely butchered visuals with all the great lighting effects removed and some horrible ass textures. And that's just from the 1st half hour of the game...I can only imagine what its like further in...

If it gets reduced maybe. RPGs on Nintendo systems tend not to get reduced much round here. I sold TOS GC for like $70 on ebay. Fire Emblem GC I have is worth like $75 used.

Mario Kart 7 is good solid fun but nothing special.

I actually played a game for the first time in a couple of months. I am on the final boss of RE Revelations, how do you dodge the double boss attack? I keep getting smashed in the back. I can sometimes dodge it. So, just shoot the heart?
