I have Far Cry on this laptop. I have yet to play it. I have time tonight maybe I start it.
It's so that they can criticise the sameyness of all the games in the context of something that no one really gives a shit about and won't piss of industry insiders. I daresay this "naive" "jouranlist" is actually a hardened cynic and will go far.
I am interested in what you think of the enemy AI.
I am playing Raven's Singularity right now (about just past the halfway mark). Very interested in what anyone here thinks of it. Anyone?

I saw the FF7 PS3 remake tech video recentely, ugly as fuck.

Violence in games? How sad and pathetic. Yes indeed.... once again playing Harvest Moon allows me a high horse to sit upon and judge others.
Sometimes, people's manipulations cut a lot deeper than they should. My lady friend definitely had a hidden agenda. She's getting a little older than the average for female models as well and is looking to halt her career in grand style. She wants to have a baby. She thought she and I would make a beautiful child. She was just using me, although she claims her feelings were real (enough). It was fun, I suppose, but I can't believe how naive I was.
The worst thing of all... I would like NOTHING more than have a child of my own and make up for the mistakes of my father...
...but not like this.
This one hurt. A lot.
Wow! Was coming to post something completely different ... But wow! Bro, I'm so sorry to hear that. This is also happening at a time when I've been under strong suspicions that my lady friend has an agenda and I feel like this is really not something I need. I don't so much feel like I may be used as a sperm donnor for an offspring, more a kind of life and income support (sorted guy with steady job, own flat and car sort of thing).
Sorry for your hurt Leo, but at least you found out in time. It could have been worse. You will know to be more careful next time, which is both a good thing and a bad thing but it's human nature to try and protect oneself from hurt.

Oh well man sorry to hear it. Hopefully you at least enjoyed the moments while they lasted and got a story (be it a good one or a tale of warning) .
I meant to mentio this earlier, but the story about THQ losing money on their last UCF game despite selling 2 million copies is frightening. Were they expexring it to sell more, could they not keep costs in line, or wqs the price of the license just that ridiculous? The average UCF Pay-per-view usually gets around 600K buys, snd maybe 900K for really big shows. Did they really think the game sales could dwarf that?
You know I can barely believe I'm saying this, but I've been enjoying Persona 3 so much it's making me debate getting a Vita so I can get my hands on Persona 4 Golden.... gahhhh. Why can't there be three more games I want?

For the most part though, Far Cry looks really good still. As I said, better than most Wii games. Certainly in scope...you can see for miles.
The FF demo doesn't look THAT bad. I'd still play it.
The enemy AI can be really dumb at times, like most games from back then. But its more funny dumb, than anything else. For example, I was crawling through a vent shaft up above some guards who were alerted to my presence. I shot one of them and lost track of the other so I jumped down into the room they were in...and see the guy in the corner just gazing up at the wall where I was hiding.
I walked right up to him and he just stood there, dumbfounded. Then finally as I was going in for an extreme close up pic of his face, he sprang to life and shot me dead. 
There will be...but then they will come out for the PS3 or PS4 anyway.
