Damn Leo, you get all of our hopes up and what do we get? Squat. Not a good way to start a Monday.
And in other news I'm still playing this:
Ahhhh Fortune Street, how I enjoy you. You are my Jones in the Fastlane for this century.
Well, Vader got a picture of some pussy and Travo got a shot of my nuts... I'm thinking of what I should send to you now...
Thanks, it looks good, nice and smooth.
I beat Mario Kart 7 with gold cups on all the various CCs. Unlocked Mirror Mode.
Hmmmmm, not sure about this game, it's good, like 8.5 good but it doesn't seem all that new or distinct compared to Mario Kart Wii or Double dash. The new tracks have several standouts but most are just forgettably good. The old tracks are old tracks. Really I would prefer all new tracks rather than them spending time recreating SNES and gba tracks with modern graphics.
Characters don't seem to have an effect on your car as they used to. With other games if you wanted to play as Bowser you would have to learn how he handles and put up up with slow acceleration and have a heavy kart. Now with the modification choices you can play as anyone and just tweak your car to your favourite settings. It removes the challenge and skill of having to lean new handling for each character.
Still, it's a good game but I would say the Wii game is better.
Speaking of which, when are we doing Mario Kart night? This week is open for me if anyone's up for it..
Thursday or friday would be good.
Message sent!
I sent you a pussy shot first.
Swap Note is the greatest thing ever.
Wow that Famitsu Nintendo list is terrible. Skyward Sword at 10, no one in Japan played it?!?! Mario Sunshine ahead of SMB3 and SMG1 and 2, lololol. Ice Climber number 22?? No Metroid games until the end.
I think my PS3 is dying or something....went to simply turn it on to watch a movie, and it just froze with the menu screen half loaded and wouldn't shut off. So I unplugged it and turned it back on, then it tells me since the system didn't shut down properly my data may be corrupted. The fucking hell kind of bullshit....
I don't like the way they make Big Boss not only LOOK like Solid Snake, but also SOUND just like him and have the same exact personality. To someone who isn't a huge MGS fan, they wouldn't even realise these are two different guys. Also, these games shouldn't be called MGS since Solid Snake has nothing to do with them. Wasn't that the point of the tagline SOLID? Because it was Solid Snake's story? There's only 1 game in the MGS Collection that actually has the man in it....and he's only in it for the 1st few hours of that game!
(as the main character)
IMO Konami ruined Solid Snake as a iconic character by using his likeness for guys that aren't him, as well as not even using him or following his story for most of the so called MGS series. Not to mention, you don't kill off an iconic character by making him turn into an old man. Its just not right.
Solid Snake looks like Big Boss because he is his clone. Clone tend to look like the stuff that they are cloned from. Basic knowledge Edgy.
So I am looking at some vacancies at the Cofely website. So I find an vacancy of Junior Engineer. So I click on it and you are required to have 3 years of experience. Three years of experience for a junior position? That is like looking for a virgin that has nailed 4 women! Just stupid.
No shit, but he is the same guy in every way is what I am saying. Then they give Solid Snake that eye patch thing in MGS4 to once again make sure they are the same in every way.
My PS3 is less than two months old, and I've had it do that three times. I don't think its dying, just a crappy OS.
...but, but... The man who is SOLID Snake is playable in 3 of the 5 games in the collection! Naked Snake, technically, is in 4 of the 5 of them too, but he isn't the playable, main character in two!
Five minutes, that was like 20 minutes.
It does that now after all hard resets, some dumb new thing an update added.
In MGS3 he had a different personality from Snake. He was full of doubt, scared of facing the boss, not confident in his ability at times. Snake is super confident badass that doesn't give a fuck who gets in his way. I am sure Big Boss gets that way and he seems more like it in PW.
PW is great but its in no way at the level of the main series. I am sure it works great for portables and its great that it has so much content. That said the main story feels totally disjointed cause it is broken up into tiny chunks. The areas aren't that interesting and so far you can easily get by everyone with just a tranq gun, getting S-ranks is a breeze. The maps are so small and enemies are all so close that you just hide behind an object. pop out and tranq everyone.
So far the bosses have all been the same, an arena battle with a tank like thing with soliders, pretty boring as its just like an endurance fight where you pump damage into an enemy for a long time till it dies, much like an MMO or PSO.
There needs to be far more vareity in the missions and there needs to be real MGS bosses for this game to actually be anywhere close to a true MGS game, so far its not.
