I absolutely LOVE how this game fills in sooo many details from prior games and games that take place after on the timeline too!
There's so many DIRECT references to Snake Eater, it's incredible!
If you give Kojima one thing it must be this: His stories may be crazy at times, but the research he must do and the consistency he shows with his story and it's history and foreshadows. He does this better than every other Japanese developer combined!

WELL worth it!
Well except for the final moments of MGS4 where he took the series history and dumped on it.
Nah... the only way he would have done that is if he somehow found a way to bring The Boss back.
I don't remember being disappointed in the ending. Then again, I didn't know as much of the history back then as I do now! We'll see... again!
History or no history the ending post-sunset was terrible. Sickeningly sweet, unecessary exposition and just...ugh.
I've been playing Yakuza 2. It's like Yakuza 3, but fucking annoying at times.
