Bah fine I will start playing it now.
I had a free rental coupon, so I rented it to see how bad it was. It wasn't worth it even for free.
I so. so. so. CANNOT WAIT to see what this is like!
You really should. HELL, I (for the first time EVER) actually considered getting a PSP ---JUST--- so I could take this game with me!
Download it on Vita.
How to Unlock Monster Hunter Missions in Peace Walker
You two playing on PS3? If you need another co-op player, hit me up.
You'll need them for the Monster Hunter missions!
The main issue with Peace Walker for me was how stupidly easy stealth was in the game once you got the hang of it. Actually even the bosses were easy enough, except for when they pit you against something that has way, way too much health and powerful armor which then becomes annoying rather than difficult. Unless this HD version has online multi player so you can actually play them in co-op as intended, I'm sure that's pretty rad. But generally with all the tools you have stealth is too easy, the positioning of enemies and such should have been much more challenging. Not to mention, even if you mess up stealth, you're pretty capable playing it as a shooter too with all the weapons you get and research. There's really little consequence all around outside a few special missions. Even the Monster Hunter like bosses were super easy save for the very final one. But yeah, it's a pretty grand game overall with some epic moments. I'd love a sequel that combines some of the features of Portable Ops in it (like having an actual squad with you within the levels, but unlike Portable Ops have them operate with and/or in parallel to you rather than tag changes).
Oh, and some stupid story bits. Most of the story was decent, well presented enough with the comic book scenes, a few rare real time 3D scenes, and the voice overs, and it was also very unintrusive so even if you didn't like it it wasn't an issue, but near the very end some silly shit happen. Well, it's how it's presented, I guess. What happens could have been cool.
Don't look at guides and stuff, I unlocked all the content just by doing every single mission. I wanted to complete them all once anyway. There are like 100 of them. I've only not completed a few of the stupidly high health and armor bosses, having their health bars fill the screen horizontally twice and need several hits from my most powerful rocket launcher type weapons just to take one section of the bar out was just stupid. I'm sure it's way more fun in co-op, having multiple players pwn it from all angles, distract it, etc. And maybe the final Monster Hunter style monster. I'm not sure on that, I'm sure I've beat it a few times but that might have been the previous less hard encounter of it.

Funny for numerous reasons.
I may take you up on that later in the game! So far it's been smooth sailing! I'm not at the point where I can do Monster Hunter missions yet.
2nd vid is Hell Mode, more and tougher enemies from the start.

Thats it I am on media blackout on RE. They are showing huge chunks of the game at a time.
Looks pretty good though, doesn't it?
Fantastic! There is a mansion, already makes it a masterpiece.
Don't make me slap you!
There is a RE demo out in Japan. WTF, what about us!!!! Why is Japan 3DS so much better than ours.
The mansion is in the ship, Jill is trying to make her way to the bridge to meet the fat dude. The demo has the same stuff we've seen at TGS and E3, just in a newer more polished version of the game with visible improvements here and there. It looks even closer to RE5 type quality now, Capgods confirmed, $50 justified.
