Seriously in a slump right now. I played two games this weekend, but my heart wasn't in it. Shame too, as these are both phenomenal games:
I've been playing Zelda and Halo Anniversary this weekend. I've never been that big of a fan of the Halo series. I've enjoyed them, but they're not games I've had to experience more than once. The multiplayer aspect of this game lured me in. This is a great remake with the ability to switch to the classic graphics at any moment. Future remakes of any game series need that feature. I'm hoping to play this with my buddy in Germany and with you guys.
I've played thru most of the game in the last few days. Beat The Pain, The Fear, The End and am now on The Fury. I almost wish I WASN'T playing the game right now, as I feel the battles would feel even MORE epic to me, if I were in the mood. I have been anticipating the Sniper Battle with The End for as many years as the game has been out now, and the whole experience WAS amazing... I'm just kinda feeling hollow right now and it didn't quite penetrate as it should/would have normally. I hope my mood breaks before the ending.
Many things. Bad year. Too many injuries. I miss the city and my old home. I feel as if I am imposing on my family after all this time. I went out last night, to the city and it felt... off... to me, as if I don't belong there anymore. It's GOT TO be me, but people seem to be acting pretty ugly these days around me too. I dunno... Like I said, too many things. There was even nearly a RIOT last night just outside of Penn Station. There were dozens upon dozens of Police Officers on Scooters and Motorcycles called to stop an ugly demonstration that was headed for Penn RIGHT as hundreds of families were arriving to go uptown to see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center. Could just be the (pre) Winter blues... dunno... but man oh man... I can't seem to snap out of it!
I think I see the problem here:
Sounds a perfect list of bosses to cheer you up!
Hope you feel better soon Leo.
Done.
I've been playing MGS Peace Walker.
Its been getting better, the setup of the game is really different than your usual MGS game. You actually build a base camp for your Mercenary Group called Mother Base, and you recruit guys into your ranks as you go on missions. It almost reminds me of Ass Creed Brotherhood in that way. As you gain more allies, you can develop new weapons and shit to use on missions.
Gameplay wise, its definitely MGS, yet feels a bit dumbed down compared to the true console games. So far the missions have been really short and simple....hopefully that changes as I get deeper in.
Spent some time with Heroes & Heralds mode on Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 today. Very nice DLC package. The cards you get from this mode really do give the game a different dimension. It may have just taken Mortal Kombat's place as the best fighting game of the year thanks to this mode. Jury is still out, but it's now neck and neck whereas MK had it hands down before.
Bastion half off on XBLA today! or yesterday, you probably have an hour or two before it ends. I just got it! and the DLC seems to be reduced too!
Miserable week. Intestinal cancer. The tumours in the liver were benign, the small intestine is malignant.
You might mention that you are talking about your cat. People reading this might think you are talking about yourself. Communication my man, communicaion.

Once again great job with the news GG. Updates on Dragon Quest, Harvest Moon, Monster Hunter, and Kingdom Hearts. It's like Christmas came early!!!
Okay that's spreading it pretty thin, but good stuff all the same.
The Zelda timeline is no news. It is just the timeline of Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. We already knew that timeline, because it is mentioned in the games and in multiple interviews.
