This is the only game I'm buying tomorrow:
^ I am waiting for some deal for that, I wont be playing it anytime soon any way. MW3 I will be getting and finishing it as soon as possible as its supposed to be a gift to my nephew.
Not compared to one and two. On its own merits it was an alright, solid FPSer.
Let me know how it is!
Just a shot in the dark here, but I reckon it will be like all the other Call of Duty games.
I will have it later. I had work starting really early today so I was not dudebro enough to do to the midnight. Here is hoping for a campaign that is like the other MW games.
The first time I want GG to post Dolphin pics and he is not here to do so. This is for you GG:
OMG!!!!
LOOK AT THIS SHIT!
WOW!
As you can see, the demo is out online. I want to play.
My sister has a mac that is brand new and should be able to run this but the whole process seems complicated.
Play it on your Wii then, it takes 5-10 minutes to homebrew it (and you should have done it already to play imports and stuff). That's what I'll do since my PC isn't powerful enough for Dolphin to run the better 3D games smoothly. I'm acquiring as we speak. But I still need a new TV, the colors are all screwy which is why I haven't played many Wii games lately, including Xenoblade...

Not the greatest quality in some of these, but still, good enough.
Single player looks too dark due to the dude's capture settings.
Looks like another good port for the series all things considered.

Zelda Demo is disappointing to me control wise.
The pointer is shitty, using just motion plus rather than the sensor bar, which isn't nearly as good in either feel or reliability. You have to wrestle with it moving around constantly and each time slightly differently, yanking and persisting to get it where you want, as opposed to always having the same exact accuracy as in sensor bar based controls, pointing all over the screen with accuracy in an instant.
And the sword slashes get mixed up way too often though that may be fixable as you get used to the controls and do better swings. But then that means you probably can't play it as relaxed as you could with something like, for example, Red Steel 2 (set to the more relaxed sensitivites in the options).
I'm comparing to Red Steel 2 instead of WSR because the feel is closer to that imo, since all the 8 directions you slash in are essentially gestures you activate, not 1:1 movement as in WSR, though there's 1:1 movement in every other motion and it blends well enough to not be jarring. I don't care for that, it's a design choice, I just hope it works better in the final game and/or as you play more and get used to it.
But yeah, the pointer is a big problem for me since you use it when in first person mode, or for all the different ranged weapons, etc. In other situations, like selecting stuff in circle menus, or options from left to right etc, they've made it compensate well, you barely have to move.
I hope this is because this was meant to be a public demo, it's the same one as in the events, so they made it not use the sensor bar at all due to potential interference, and that the final game will use the sensor bar cursor method wherever applicable.
Other than that, not much to add. Everyone's seen the content in the demo over and over. The game is a looker and the addition of mechanics like the stamina and such or the sword ranged attacks is going to be awesome when coupled with later challenges etc.
Oh, and the demo is widescreen only, like Xenoblade and some other Wii games, so even if you play on a 4:3 TV, set your Wii to widescreen mode and your TV to squish the image with black bars, to get slightly sharper quality rather than having the Wii itself waste some of its resolution output to rendering black bars.
And it's kinda stupid to still have the Z button bring down those black bars on top of that giving you even less screen estate on a 4:3 tv. Why don't they indicate it's pressed in some other way, if one is at all needed... Do a vignette effect or something.

How do I do this, HOW!?!??!!? Step by step I have no clue about these things. Where do I find Zelda demo, where do I burn it to, etc?
As for the demo, yeah its the old one and controls are not like the final game.
Ace Attorney trailer is amazing! That is how you do a video game translation, literally translate it scene by scene.
Great now Agnates is missing. Iga, you around? ANYONE?
OMG New Game + confirmed for Zelda!!
Oh and the entire plot has been leaked.
MW3 is pretty damn great. The campaign is already way way better than Blops and so far better than MW2. Its the same exact game but damn is the ADD turned up a notch, you do something different like every 3 minutes now. That is the only way this formula works, if they try a large setpiece the gameplay will falter cause its basically whack a mole with guns. But if you take whack a mole and put it on a roller coaster with the craziest stuff ever happening its fun. Spec Ops is brilliant though. I haven't tried survivor, I just did some missions and they are every bit as good as MW2. Amazing how when you add timers, a scoring system, and limited life how exciting the gameplay becomes. This is how the whole game should be, its actually good gameplay where you have to use strategy and you can experiment, the game doesn't tell you exactly what to do.
