I just finished up with the most recent DLC case for LA Noire. Nicholson Electroplating was probably the best case so far, but it also exposes the game's biggest flaw more than any other I've seen. The case itself is very different than the others. The way the story is told and how the investigations are done, it feels like a very different game. It feels fresh. However the story is very convoluted and complicated... particularly if you don't get every single question right and find every piece of evidence. It's all easy to miss in this case. However even if you don't know what's going on you can still complete the case, which happened to me. I had almost no clue of what was really happening and when I "solved the case" I still had no idea what happened. For my efforts I still managed 3 stars.
Aside from that Marvel Pinball and Zen Pinball have been taking up my time as well. Love them.
I just picked up some new Xbox games this weekend:
Playing Streets of Rage 2 right now. Sooo effing awesome!
I also played through the Darksiders 90 minute demo. Wii need to get that soon.
I'm starting to debate whether or not to drop the $15 for SSF4 Arcade Edition. It's not much, but in less than 2 months, Street Fighter 3 Third Impact will be available for the same $15.... Then again most people have upgraded and it's pretty hard to find any regular SSF4 challengers in online mode now.
If you're just going to JUST play single player, I would say "No, It's probably not worth it" as the ONLY way you'll fight against Evil Ryu and Oni are thru some pretty strenuous circumstances and Yun and Yang are more annoying than great additions.
It's TOTALLY worth it if you plan on fighting ME or Yoda or anyone else online!
It's also VERY much worth it if someone doesn't have ANY version of Street Fighter IV at all, as this WILL be the last revision.
I tried a 3DS at a store today. Mixed feelings. Pilotwings 3D gave me headaches and I never found a sweet spot where the 3D depth could shine. SF IV, on the other hand. looked amazing at all times, and gave me no issues adjusting nor weird feelings or dizziness. Playing was a blast too, since the analog nipple works wonderfully.
Same as usual for me:
• Uncharted 3 beta- I'm liking it a lot, but I'm always playing with strangers which is kind of a bummer.
• The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks- controls are a but frustrating and tedious at times, especially when involving the flute.
• Infamous- yep, still playing this, bound to finish. As a platforming type game, it's failing to grasp me.
• Limbo- finished this two days ago insominia kicked in. Loved it, but just left it kn
The backburner for so long that I forgot about it. If you're a PS3 owner, it's coming soon. Get it!
Too drunk to game tonight. My reflexes are shot. So with that in mind here are the 5 PSP games I want to see on PS3.
Just played the first couple hours or so of Bayonetta. This game is insane!
congrats Iga.
Yeah Bayonetta is an awesome. I wouldn't mind going back and playing it again. Perhaps after Shadows of the Damned.
Speaking of which this game is absolutely nuts. Feeding baby faces with strawberries, eyeballs, and brains to unlock doors, having a creature named "one-eyed" William who drops steaming piles of shit as save points, jumping through a stripper's ass on a huge billboard to teleport to another part of a level, along with so many other crazy and outrageous things. I'm also surprised that Microsoft allowed for a curse word to be uncensored for an achievement title. This game is just so outrageously crazy. I love it.GTA VC was also released on the PS2 if you have one of those hooked up or a launch PS3.
That doesn't stop Aspro.
I've been playing Uncharted 3, Wipeout and Proun.
The Atlantic's Business site listed Sony Pictures (and the entertainment branch) as one of the companies that will die in 2012.
A few simplifications:
"Sony has a studio production arm which has nothing to do with its core businesses of consumer electronics and gaming. Sony bought what was Columbia Tri-Star Picture in 1989 for $3.4 billion. This entertainment operation has done poorly recently. Revenue dropped 15% this year. Its gaming system group is under siege by Microsoft and Nintendo, and its consumer electronics group faces an overwhelming challenge from Apple. The company's future prospects have been further damaged by the Japan earthquake and the hack of its large PlayStation Network. Sony Entertainment will disappear with the sale of its assets."
I am just now getting around to reading the Conduit 2 Post Mortem, that was written by one of the team at High Voltage Software.
This bit was sad, "Like the rest of the gaming industry in 2010, High Voltage Software wasn't immune to hard times. With publishers mitigating risks and the economy in trouble, we had to take financial action.
What's especially difficult about this is that our culture is an aberration in the game industry. In the nearly 18-year history of the company, we'd only had one layoff of any significance -- but that is what happened to us in 2010. This had been a corporation built on stability and longevity, and our employees had come to expect it.
Unfortunately this affected the Conduit 2 team dramatically. Not only did the company take a huge morale hit from the loss of dear friends and colleagues, but the Conduit 2 game team was heading into a crunch that would not end until the game was to be delivered for final Nintendo submission."
I should not be enjoying this game as much as I really should be. Good god, it's fucking fun.
For all the guff I give the UK for having Zumba be number one in the charts so often, it's a good thing that people who buy the game are keeping active, and secondarily are going to associate video games with fitness as opposed to sitting on the couch for endless hours.
Well they are right to an extent...Sony is getting an ass whopping. But obviously they're not going to DIE though.
Edgecrusher has been playing Mafia 2, which I just finished the other day...great fun. And also Borderlands, which is awesome...playing that now. GG you would like this game alot I think....its got that quirky Nintendo vibe to it, check it out.
