I'm playing Brutal Legend for a few. I kinda want to play some online matches though.
It also wasn't banned. Nintendo have no balls so decided not to release it themselves in case it was banned.
The Zelda rumours sound great except for Ganon simply making a brief appearance as a child and not playing a major role in the story. For me a Zelda game isn't proper without Ganon and having an epic fight with him for the finale.
An awesome Star Wars game for Kinect? OH HELL YEAH! I'd love for that to happen.
Hopefully the new Devil May Cry game is as good as it's sounding to be.The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

Just got back from X-Men First Class. Quite enjoyed it.
Though I can't wait for Robio's take. His Thor review was entertaining.
Maybe I judged it too harshly too prematurely.

The powers of the West report on the growing concern of "hactivism" of groups like Anonymous.
NATO is an alliance of nations formed in 1949 to solidify the relationship of mutual defense for North America and western Europe after World War II. Today, the members of NATO account for almost 70 percent of the world's spending on defense. Preventing attacks of any type on its members is of utmost importance to the organization, so it only makes sense that NATO analyze possible cyber-attacks on its military and defense computer systems. A report called "Information and National Security" from General Rapporteur Lord Jopling of the UK discusses the potential good of social networks for fostering democracy, the WikiLeaks scandal, and how hacktivists need to be burned at the stake.
"Virtual communities operating online provide new opportunities for civil society, but they have also increased the potential for asymmetrical attacks," the report says. "Apart from causing harm, destruction or conducting espionage, most recent cyber attacks have also been used as a means to reach a rather different goal. 'Hactivism' is a relatively recent form of social protest or expression of ideology by using hacking techniques."
The report then singles out Anonymous as an example of this new trend by relating the group's support of Julian Assange's WikiLeaks. But that "info-war" is only the beginning, according to NATO's report. "Observers note that Anonymous is becoming more and more sophisticated and could potentially hack into sensitive government, military, and corporate files." The report then explainis how Anonymous hacked government contractor HBGary's servers and the CEO's Twitter account after the group revealed the government's plans to take down WikiLeaks.
The report continues:
Perhaps Lord Jopling should have used the word "prosecute" instead of "persecute" which means "to harass persistently" or "to pursue with oppressive treatment, especially because of religion, race, or beliefs."
I mean, I definitely think that it's important for governments to be aware of the dangers that hacking can pose, but I'm not sure that oppressing them in return is the right move. As Stephen Colbert said of the Anonymous attacks, you don't want to stick your penis into the hornet's nest."
"Perhaps Lord Jopling should have used the word "prosecute" instead of "persecute" which means "to harass persistently" or "to pursue with oppressive treatment, especially because of religion, race, or beliefs.""
So he wants to give Anonymous a taste of its own medicine?

And Sonic Generations 3DS press release:
SEGA® Europe Ltd. & SEGA® America, Inc., today confirmed Sonic Generations™ will be released on Nintendo’s new handheld system, Nintendo 3DS™ in November 2011. Set across three defining eras from Sonic the Hedgehog’s twenty year history, Sonic Generations™ for Nintendo 3DS will see SEGA’s mascot speeding through new stereoscopic 3D levels designed exclusively for the handheld console.
“Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS will combine brand new technology and twenty years of Sonic the Hedgehog videogame heritage” commented David Corless, Global Brand Director for Sonic. “Couple this with the ability to play as both Classic and Modern Sonic and you have the perfect gaming celebration for the landmark anniversary of our much loved mascot”
The specifically designed Nintendo 3DS environments, based on iconic levels from popular Sonic the Hedgehog titles, will include an exclusive unlockable ‘Special Stage’ allowing players to become even more immersed in Sonic’s world. Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS will also take advantage of the StreetPass™ feature by enabling players to collect new content and unlock bonus material each time they pass another player. In addition to this, the new two-player versus mode means fans can battle it out across some of the most recognisable Sonic environments in a completely new way.
Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS follows the same storyline as the previously announced platforms, with Sonic and his friends pulled back through time due to a mysterious new power which is causing chaos throughout the universe by creating strange “time holes”. Sonic Generations will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Nintendo 3DS system in November 2011.

I did 35 updates so far today and it's not even E3 I feel wiped out.
BTW guys, what are we doing about conference threads this year? I think it would be good like last year if Vader or somebody made a conference thread where we could all post our live reactions there so the news page is just for regular updates. Konami conference is today right?
From GAF:
One of the more popular Project Cafe rumors going around right now comes from someone who claims to work for the ESRB, an agency which is tasked to rate the appropriateness of everything vidoegame related, even the trailers. This ESRB employee claims to have seen the video that Nintendo will be showing at E3 to promote Project Cafe --or, as they call it, "Current" -- and the list of games they've named from the video is pretty astounding.
This list includes: a new mini-game collection, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. 4, Endless Ocean, Pikmin, Kirby, a new Zelda collection, Animal Crossing, Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario., Dead Rising 2, Street Fighter 4, Resident Evil 5 "or something that looked like it," Silent Hill Downpour, a new Suda51 game that is "not No More Heroes" but is about "something hunting demons," "some mech game," Trauma Center: Current Crisis, Soul Calibur, Tekken, GTA V, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, "some Metal Gear Solid game where you play as a girl," "some cyber punk game" that looks like Snatcher, Gradius, Contra, Castlevania, and "Fallout 3 or 4."
So yeah, that's a pretty insane list. It's hard to believe that any of it's real, but seeing as the 3DS had a new Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, Assassin's Creed, two Resident Evil games, Contra, Castlevania, Street Fighter, Zelda, Persona, and many other games announced in conjunction with the console's initial reveal at E3 2010, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to somehow get that many third parties to back them out of the gate with their next home console. It especially makes sense to see so many titles from Konami, Namco, and Capcom, who were strong early supporters of the Wii as well.
She's starting to pee me off. She was good in Batman the Animated series and Batman Returns. In The Batman she is an annoying idiot and obviously the Catwoman movie sucked hard. I hope playing as her is optional in Arkham City, or it could be like Halo 2 or MGS2 with unwanted character focus lost.
I wanted to NGBlack but Steel says it's fricking harder than the original.
That is so cool.

Well, E3 is right around the corner and it seems there are going to be metric fucktons of shit to show.
That's what I think. Never played it. Didn't I tell you that? I must have forgotten.
if i'm not mistaken ... it had an easier difficulty setting (than the original easy setting) as well as a harder one (than the original hard setting). I didn't play it either though, it got stolen before I could get round to doing so
