Might as well do it, it is THAT time:
What have you lads been playing this weekend?
Me:
At one end of the spectrum you have the ultra violent Gears...
...at the other end you have the family-friendly EPIC Kirby... *yay balloons!*
If you think me playing both of those games is CRAZY... Here's something REALLY crazy!
Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes! From the makers of Devil May Cry 4, among other things, this game is like
Dynasty Warriors on CRACK! More than a dozen playable characters and storylines, plus
Over dramatic Japanese Anime-like acting = Freaking Nuts!
I finally finished Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. it was a good game, just more og the same. This series need an overhaul. I'm hoping to get my hands on Kirby this week, but may just stick to finishing my backlog.
Nothing this week. I played a little bit of Shantae Risky's Revenge but that's about it. I'm pretty much done with 4 Heroes of Light. I really like this game but I'm getting a little bit tired of it now.

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
A few people have questioned: "What does Wii have this year for the holidays to match New Super Mario Bros. from last year?"
Well. That game came out today.
Yeah. It's THAT good!
Everyone loves Kirby! Even the most jaded of old-school gamers!
I'm on the very last part of Tomb Raider: Underworld (PS3). It's so funny, the people who make it must look at Uncharted 2 and go -- hey we had that, and that, and that... It's pretty, but the story is stop-start and during the levels Lara has no personality whatsoever. Some of the best puzzles are deeper into the game, they should have moved the levels around a bit, they are pretty much interchangable story-wise.
Also playing, Beneath a Steel Sky on (PC). It's fun. Timeless.
Played a few more missions in RUSH (PSP). It is the exact same game as LA Rush (it is a departure for the arcade racer, but has a nice conceit for a story).
Got back into Final Fantasy 4 (DS). Beat a nasty, nasty Boss, and moved forward another 4 hours. Still not on the moon.
Played 3-4 games of MLB The Show (PS3). It's a very accurate simulation of a televised game, and technically correct as far as the mechanics of the sport.
Finally beat Chili Con Carnage (PSP) and SimCity 3000 (PC).
So should finish TR tomorrow, and then get in the first Kill Zone. If I don't take to it immediately will start on Deadly Mountain for Wii.
Watched Mrs. Aspro start and play the first 8 hours of FF13.
...Oh! Wait a second! I forgot about the 800 lbs. Gorilla in the room!
This is gonna be an interesting showdown!
VS.
Who WILL the victor be?!
Since I already know Kirby and Donkey Kong will be good since they're Big N games, I'm more interested in how Epic Mickey and Goldeneye Wii is going to do.
Those give a lot of hope and a breath of fresh air for 3rd party Wii games. I really hope they're both home runs.

Sorry to hear that.
I've also been playing Uncharted. Tried some Uncharted 2 multiplayer yesterday to take advantage of the 1 year anniversary they had for the game. Played some matches with Steel, lots of fun.
I played Uncharted 2 all weekend. Had a good number of fun matches with Archie. I also finally grabbed the phone and placed a repair order on my defunct 360. Had to buy a warranty extension, but meh. I'm getting a fixed console and another year of full warranty. A PS3 can only get you so far and I'm really interested in playing some games with Leo.
That's cool you'll get your 360 fixed. So... you don;t have any problems with your PS3 being online (as it relates to the issues you are having with your computers?)
No. That's the weirdest part. Online gaming on the PS3 seems to be alright, outside some minor connection hiccups that I attribute to the crowded scene on U2 yesterday. For some reason, this only affects web browsing. I have been disconnected from PSN a couple times this weekend, though.

Oh, the content is very serious!
Next I'm I'll try it at the start of the post instead, though.
I picked up Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar and the new Professor Layton this weekend. Harvest Moon is okay. There's some cool new ideas in it (aka the Bazaar), but I'm not blown away just yet. I have a bias against the handhelds of the series so I don't really expect to ever get too into it. Professor Layton on the other hand is as hard as ever to put down. Love it. Puzzles are probably a notch harder than the other games, or at least there aren't as many super easy ones. Anyway that'll be my game of choice for the immediate future.

I don't know...Donkey & Diddy look like they're about to murder someone. It's been experience that's told me that you never piss off a gorilla, particularly one that has the mad skill of throwing barrels.
Also, and I hate to sound like I'm bragging, but I got my first embargoed review! So exciting. Should be able to tell you guys more about it later in the week, but I'm not sure if I can mention the game name - here's a hint though: It's a rhythm game.
