Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThat's sad. I saw an advert on at midnight on channel 5. Not exactly prime time stuff. When RE5 or any other capcom game there was so much advertising I got adverts printed on my rental dvds.
That's what I say, Elebits was so many years ago, a launch game with a dodgy frame rate and great, but could be improved controls. And yet no one else has done these sorts of controls since, except Boom Blox touching on it with the grab tool. When you marry physics to motion control you get something very special. I used to say that it was the only game with next generation gameplay because of how you could manipulate the environment. It should be required playing for todays developers.
As for the game, eventually you get bosses and then leave the house and go on the rampage around the streets. But the frame rate then diiiiiips. Elebits is one of the last games I wanted a sequel too, Endless Ocean, NMH and Red Steel got sequels but this is the one game left that I want to see done justice too. It's a little rough around the edges here and there and the voice acting makes you want to puke.
Frak you Leo.
I've been playing more Final Fantasy XIII on the weekend. Getting the rest of the achievements should take awhile.
I'll have to get Ogre Battle 64 since I really enjoy those games but never got around to playing it the first time.
Really looking forward to picking up a PS3 this week.
It only released on Friday. It's Monday now. So the sales are over 3 days one of which is a Sunday.
Oh yeah I also finally got around to playing the Resident Evil 5 dlc's Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape. While they were a bit on the short side they were very enjoyable to play. Loved the trip down memory lane playing in the mansion ala the first RE in LiN and DE was just a full on assault of bad guys to shoot/blow up. Looking forward to playing them some more as well as playing through the game with the new costumes. I'm also looking forward to trying the new characters in Mercenaries mode.
For anyone curious at the moment, on Amazon US it's sitting at 45th for the bundled game and 46 for the solo game on the Wii charts. It does not appear on the overall videogame chart. It does indicate that it is climbing the charts though so that is a good.
I think it will hit half of Ubi's target over a year period.
I don't get these pics. They aren't 3D
Funny as hell though.
Unless they push some heavy marketing behind this soon I got to agree with you. The reviews have been good enough. I wonder if this is just another example of people not buying 3rd party games or just a really bad move in Ubisoft trying to use the Red Steel name after most people ended up feeling fairly disgusted with the original.
Well I'm just not seeing any advertising. The games that sell well are the ones that get advertised or that have a big name brand behind them, COD for instance. Ubisoft advertises Just Dance on prime time TV but not this.
That's a scary thought. When a company breaks even only when hitting 1.5 million copies??? How many games each generation even come close to that number?
Scarier:
"that's still not enough as an independent studio to break even,"
They didn't break even.
