According to Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, the PlayStation console is nothing short of a "poison" that leads our kids down the capitalist "road to hell".
The Venezuelan boss took on Sony in his weekly radio-TV show Alo Presidente and called on local manufacturers to make educational toys and dolls with indigenous peoples' features to replace capitalistic counterparts like the Barbie doll that "have nothing to do with our culture," reports YahooNews.
He's already taken a pop at family-friendly Nintendo for promoting "selfishness, individualism and violence,"
Indeed
Another gaming week from Hell for me, with the glowing exceptoin of beating Earth Defense Force 2017. Tried playing NSMBWii again, this time with the Mrs. Aspro in co-op. Should have gone well as she was born and raised on SMB, but she did not dig having me on the screen. Then we tried RE5 co-op, and while using the RE4 controls was better, the split screen just was not working out.
So then we tried playing Alien Syndrome co-op for the Wii, and despite my championing it and paying full price for it when it came out, it is hilariously bad. I'll have to pick that one up again by myself later.
Put about 15 hours into Untold Legends: Brotherhood Code for the PSP and lost interest. So now I am playing World Soccer 06 for the PSP. It's pretty good.
Interesting.
I think it will be a good thing in the long run. The GGD has been more active lately. It isn't quite back to the glory days, but there is a lot more going on.
^Having the staff chime in more was something that has been called for for a long time, and having looser rules works, they will get more posts and the bad ones will drop off the page pretty quick if the forum gets popular enough. It would be helpful if they articulated that though, but I'm guessing the staff are not even aware that there are forum-specific rules at Gamespot.
Manged to log onto the wii repair tracking system. They've logged it as a minor fault instead of major, nice. It would have cost £70 if it was major.
And weirdly Nintendo UK is doing get your wii online adverts on primetime TV. Including ads for Wiiware and Rock band dlc. Weird.
I skipped GH Metallica, for good reason, but I'm so getting GH Megadeth if it's coming. Motherfucking sold. Unless the game has Risk tracks on it. *barfs*
I just checked how much Nintendo wants to fix my DVD buzzing noise: $75 (not including tax or shipping). I'm probably looking at a $100 repair cost. F*** that!
Is it just me, or does it look like Gaea is reaching out to grab a titanic wang?
---
Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileYep, individualism sucks.
When will they release GH-specific games for bands that NEVER sold out, like Pantera and Slayer? Or Testament?
EDIT: Wait even Testament tried selling out. I forgot about 1992's The Ritual CD.
