Link is a pussy:
Let's get one thing straight before we even begin: Darksiders is the manliest game ever made, for real manly men who are manly with their man things. The Legend of Zelda, in contrast, is for children and girls who have not yet known a lover's touch. You only have to look at the main characters to see this is true. One is the physical embodiment of conflict incarnate, a dauntless badass who will crack the skulls of angels of demons alike. The other is Legolas. Ladies and gentlemen, War wins.
Seriously, who would you rather have on your side in battle? A man with a fiery steed and a penchant for bloodlust who can turn into a giant molten demon at will, or a pussy little elf in a green skirt? War routinely hangs off the bellies of giant Hell bats and then stabs them in the guts. What has Link ever done, comparatively? Held a little shield in front of his girlish face so that seeds don't hit him. Seeds! Link is afraid of SEEDS. While War is fighting the entire armies of Hell, Link's shitting in his pants because somebody's thrown a packet of grow-your-own at him.
It is a scientifically proven fact that if you play Darksiders, your penis will become comparable in size to a chimpanzee's leg and gain enough ejaculative power to stop a charging African elephant. These same scientific studies concluded that if you play The Legend of Zelda, a man's penis will split at the opening and turn back on itself so that it looks like a hideous, veiny tulip. This gruesome physical reaction is known in the scientific community as "Zelda's Cock Flower."

I couldn't have said it better myself...
...actually I have said most of that myself, but I'm not being paid to be a writer, so this guy wins!
Then again on the other side, one could argue that in most Zelda games the puzzles offer somewhat of a challenge, or at least those in the later dungeons, while virtually everything in Darksiders can be figured out by a four year old with Down Syndrome.
Oh yeah and just because I loathe the man let me take a moment and talk about the Creative Hack. . . I mean Creative Director, Joe Madureira. Once he was arguabley the most talented comic book artist in the business but he then left the big companies to work on his own creations. Unfortunately without guidance everything he created absolutely sucked. Go read Battle Chasers if you want proof of that. Now that he's realized he can't even create a fart after eating a bean burrito he just takes pieces of other peoples ideas and clues them together.
Fuck Darksiders and fuck Joe Madureira. He's proof all Portugese people are just plain bad. *
*I'm not really sure why I threw that last part in there, but I remember reading years ago that he's of portugese heritage and just wanted to get one last shot in at his family in some way.
Dude, you shouldn't quantify xenaphobia!
To this game I say: Requiescant in Pace!
My Level 21 HUnewn is singing: "Fly me to the Moon" in this game:
Finally, *yeah, I have to mention it* this game literally left me breathless with black spots in front of my eyes:
*Maybe more on that later IF I feel like blogging about it. Maybe not!*
What have all of you been playing?
Mother 3 - This has been the game that has pretty much been eating up most of my free time lately. Absolutely love it. Highlight of the game so far?? When Lucas gets his PSI/Magic power unleashed, it's done in a spa by a 1,000 year old cross-dresser with not-so-vague tones of sexual molestation. And in between when I need a change of pace I go over to the Beatles Rock Band and Wii Fit Plus so I can look all sexy and shit.
Started an infiltrator playthrough, but the new class didn't click with me. At all. Playing on hard certainly makes things worse, because my character is a wimp that only feels comfortable shooting people down from a distance.
So I said "fuck it" and started a new playthrough with my old adept. At least that way I'll have the chance to reach Lv 50 and who knows, maybe even 60 before ME2 gets released.
I would bite. Never did get the Xbox game.
Or is it? They sent me a replacement model, it had the new dashboard pre-loaded. How do I tell and even if it is Jasper, isn't the internal memory for the dashboard? What size are these patches?
Tell me about it, I can't even play Oblivion GOTY edition because a hard drive is required.
Headstrong of Bwii and Overkill fame pitched it to SEGA.
I've been playing with my wang all weekend. I tried 15 minutes of Spirit Cracks, got annoyed and went to bed.
Then maybe there's still hope for you, flatulent being.
Patches are usually a few MBs in size.
Updates done.

Why are you phapping this weekday?
I don't know... I just don't care. There are two people there who seem intent on turning it into a very unpleasant place. I just don't give a fuck about contributing to the ROF.
I've been meaning to send you a PM Leo. Jody and the editorial staff are hoping to turn the GGD into the main hang out spot for the staff, and with that has come a relaxation in the rules. I don't even know what I'm supposed to lock anymore because I haven't been given any indication about how relaxed it is getting. All I know is that I've locked a few threads that have been re-opened by staff. It is a little weird. That is why things have kinda gone unregulated.
Dark Void Eurogamer review
The lasting impression which Dark Void leaves is still one of disappointment, however. Had Airtight been a bit braver, more willing to deviate from the norm and run with some of its bolder ideas, then this could have been a great game. Instead, Dark Void's extremely short campaign - with no motivation for replay and no multiplayer options - is more like a portfolio of half-baked concepts hurriedly crammed into an uninspired package for ease of presentation, more show-reel than show-stopper.

I will LOL if this is made by Ubisoft.

Yeah... my hype for the game is slowly building. I've been on more of an RPG kick lately, but I will probably get roped into buying this one.
Now this is interesting reading. Firstly despite selling more units because of price cuts, everyone's revenue is down.
And in terms of gaming revenue, Sony has bested MS for several years running.
Wow @ Nintendo's 2009 revenue share, it's as much as the other guys combined.
