GG is on my side on NSMB Wii, take that Iga.
Late Merry Chistmas to all and Happy Birthday to Steel.
The map is gorgeous. Possibly the best map system ever? It's 3D and maniputable in any way you want, they usually mark your objective and the levels are seamlessly designed and unique which makes them pleasurable to navigate.
Note that the blue parts are parts you haven't been, the doors (entrance/exits) are clearly marked. And colour coded so you know which ones you can go into and which ones you can't.
See how you can manipulate the map? Rotate, zoom? All in 3D.
Also there is a real time mini-map on screen.
See top right corner.
Plus the game is all about exploring. You never get the feeling you are lost, instead you feel like you are discovering something new. And the levels are like a puzzle, you're trying to work out the environment like scanning a room in Prince of Persia and seeing what you're suppossed to be doing to get over "there".
He is not on you side, not even close. Did you even read his impressions? Did you even read mine?
Ummm "It feels really safe too so far. Not much imagination so far."
I practically said the same thing. Are you crazy?
How about you saying the game is easily a nine and he calling it "meh". Sorry just because he said one thing that was similar to what you said, does not put him on your side. And his opinion about the theme (grass world, desert world, ect) was exactly the same thing I said, but you don't hear me saying that he is on my side, do you? You are just cherry picking quotes here.
Plus he says SMW > SMB3. Take that bitch
Happy Birthday! That reminds me, there's been something I've wanted to "give" you for a long time...
Switched over to the advanced controls for MP and yeah that's much better.
His meh will turn into liking the game enough to give it a 9. The quality is there I just wouldnt put it in the range of SMB3 or SMW. I am sure GG will come around, it took me to about world 4 to get to that point as well.
No he won't. It will remain a meh and GG will give Wii GoTY to Dead Space Extraction. This would mean the GG and Gamespot agree on something, which in turn will make the universe collapse into itself.
US Amazon Deal of the Day is the original Uncharted with a PS3 controller for $47. Good deal if you are looking for a new controller.

Also, happy b-day Steel, I wish you and your family well.
So what did you guys get for Christmas? Me? I got nothing. But I still had enough money for some junk. Picked up Star Ocean the Last Hope. I was looking forward to playing this so "hope"fully it's good! Pun, har har!
And damn, I missed Dead Space Extraction sale going on at Best Buy and Gamestop. It's sold out! Crikey! Hopefully they'll restock and I can find it again.
Peace!

Merry "late" Christmas to you too. Yoda created a Christmas Haul Thread in the Off-Topic forum
They're made solely out of cardboard now.
1 - There are times when they're cheaper than MSRP
2 - MSRP in Canada is typically $20 for 2000 points (the same as the US), but I can only buy online in US dollars which is often lower, particularly given bank conversion.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileHB Steel. Now you can join MARP (Mexican Association of Retired People). MARP!
It's worth it at $20. Though I won't fault the man who holds off for $15.00.
