2009 was a relatively weak year for FPSs.
Edit: Archie saves the day. You'd be better off renting them.
Yeah online is where the real action takes place for MW2 with it's numerous mp modes and playing with up to 17 other players in a given match. That's where the fun is. ODST by itself not so much because it doesn't have it's own matchmaking mp portion and it's higher price was only helped by the inclusion of the Halo 3 mp especially if you hadn't purchased the maps for it yet. Go with a rental unless you can get them at a cheap enough price.
Thanks for that, I appreciate it. Sadly these modes will never get played by me and I already own Halo 3 and dont touch the maps on that game either.
I will pick them up when they come down to a cheap price then. Thanks again.
Usually with shooters though I at least play through them twice, if there is a level select.
I'm not paying for this!
Can you pay by paypal? How many computers can you use it on? Can you save it to a dvd?
I gotta go.
Merry Christmas Ho's!
Steel, I expect a crown tommorrow morning from mama.
Merry Christmas, man. I guess they take Paypal, and yes, you can back the game up to a disc, the games are tied to your account, so you can download them from any computer.
You know lately with the growing of digital downloads I've been wondering if in the eventuality of one's passing if this stuff can be willed to someone. I'd imagine that over a lengthy period in someone's life they could quite possibly amass a small fortune of digital goods.
First. 4:20 am december 25th. Not that I observe christmas, but I do have to go drop off some video game for some nephews who live 2 hours away (they observe it, and I don;t want to be the uncle who is a dick).
I'll be happy if the license even transfers to the original owner from one console to the next.
What the... for christmas I hope Aspro gains good taste.
I know I should... but I missed out on the great deal amazon had.
I downloaded some new Sonic Unleashed DLC levels, there was a sale on them. They are so awesome, the whole game should have had wild levels like these. The main problem is that Sega clearly has no clue how to work on the PS3, the framerate is a disaster. I could count the frames, that is how slow it was. The camera can be a pain at time. Some levels have Sonic running around a 3D environment like a Mario 64, well this game was not designed for that so it feels like Sonic is on ice the whole time. The ideas are there, the core gameplay is there, the polish is nowhere to be found.
I was going to give impressions but I only played 50 mins. At first I felt meh, too similar to the original and the slingshot whilst cool feels difficult to balance between where you want it to go and the camera angle you want to see.
Then, well you know the feeling because you played the first game I got on the paint missions and played the same level endlessly because I just HAD to get all those blocks off in 5 throws. I knew you could do it, I just had to work it out!
Pretty cool.
Anyhow I wont be sampling UCC for a while because EA has put up 100 free dlc levels of their own.
Oh oh, to show how easy downloading UCC is in Boom Blox I went to the creation page and it auto searches all levels made by your registered friends.
I haven't chatted to Supreme AC in like a year but it found his level in seconds which I could download.
The user ratings weren't great on it

"To tell you the truth, I actually wanted to create Link’s Crossbow Training 2. I thought that we should do something more and better in the field of the first person shooter, based on our experience of the first game. For example, I was thinking that maybe we could intensify the multiplayer mode. The original game was really just a solo game but I thought that we could add a true multiplayer mode with multiple users playing together, from remote areas, over the Wi-Fi Connection. I thought that we could add a true multiplayer mode. The fact of the matter is that a lot of people inside Nintendo insisted that I should work on a new Legend Of Zelda title rather than working on more Crossbow Training." - Eiji Aonuma

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileHey just wanted to let everyone know that if they didn't get a game they were hoping for from Santa, Gamefly.com is running a sale on a lot of their used games. Here's a quick price list for some examples:
360:
Wii:
and LKS for $17.99 for those interested
PS3:
It would probably be in Sony's best interest to go with PC architecture since most devs prefer using architecture that they're familiar with. This has been a big benefit for Microsoft, and Sony has had a history of making difficult-to-program-for consoles, which has hurt them lately.
Next gen in 2012? That would be nearly three years away if all of those consoles all come out holiday 2012. I guess we'll see. I am curious about what Nintendo will do next. I assume their next console will be roughly as powerful as the current-gen PS3/360. It would be far cheaper for them to use current-gen HD tech in 2012, and most of their casual fan base won't care. Bring on the PS3/360 Wii HD ports!
