Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileNice reviews for NSMB, RE: DC, and Silent Hill. Gamespot gave NSMB an 8.5. While these are still great scores I was hoping for just a little bit more because Mario games generally have really high standards and expectations. Still will be getting it and enjoying it no doubt.
Because Hub Dungeons are genius that's why.
Please for the love of God, do not take Gamespot reviews seriously.
For some reason I dont think there will be a ream of PSP fails audience articles on Chinatown wars.
A Boy and His Blob sold poorly because superficially it looks like the sort of thing people expect as a downloadable title.
What game are we talking about here?
Is it auto lock or aim assist? I can't remember what its called. You know the training mission when the SAS guy tells you to squeeze the aim trigger then release to go to different targets and shoot quickly?
It's 2D and it doesn't have HD graphics or any online, the media wont 9.5 this sort of stuff anymore. Even the IGN says stuff like its the best 2-D mario yet, then 8.9s it.
That's auto-lock I believe.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile- Maybe GTA has just grown old with the casual population (the ones that buy Madden, Halo and GTA only).
- Maybe GTA has worn off with people who only played it for 20 minute killing sprees and not the missions.
- Chinatown Wars is probably a hard sell to any segment of the gaming community because of the top down perspective. Once you play it you understand it's sufficient, but if you are just looking at screen shots it looks less than stellar.
- Failure of a GTA game on a Nintendo system is hard to read as an overall failure. Title after title has shown that for reasons I don't understand "mature" titles have trouble on the Wii and DS.
- Failure on the PSP is hard to read as an overall failure, because well... it's THE PSP. As much as I love mine, it is generally maligned in the greater gaming population. Most gamers don't prefer handhelds over consoles, and if they do have one it's a DS.
All in all it's a real shame, Chinatown was a superior GTA game and one of my favorites of the year.Might want to check out the Darkside CHronicles thread guys. Firstly there is a trailer where the action spills onto your computer, think that warioland wii youtube shake it trailer.
Then the alternative costume pics are out.
Well I just don't understand it then as there is some really hectic stuff in the game that I can't even imagine being able to get past with analog control, its so fast paced. Do you camp and pick people off slowly? Or run and gun? Use grenades alot?
I abhore autolock, I beat COD4 without it. I would have played on Normal, as is my habit.
In the really tough missions (the first one I encountered was the amusement park level where they endlessly spawn) all I did was set myself up where I could use the sniper and take out as many at first. Then I used grenades strategically and then basically set up camp as far away from the spawn points as possible.
It took me more than a day of repeating the level to beat it. I just remember having three places where I would camp in that level, moving between waves of enemies.
Grenades where a huge part of getting through it as I recall.
Oh wow, the art style I hate so much on DS actually looks great here.

Yeah it really comes to life a lot more on a bigger screen with some extra horse-power behind it. And that's the best the Boo's have ever looked.
