Holy crap that Miyamoto interview at IGN is depressing, its like he has gone mad. What is up with him and that stupid Wii Sports Island, he is obsessed with it, wtf.
Did he really say he was all out of hardcore game ideas, what?
How about this:
IGN: Have you thought about making a Wii game that uses two Wii remotes with MotionPlus?
Shigeru Miyamoto: I think if Wii Sports Resort sells really well, that's something we'd definitely like to think about. Like, table manners.
Table manners?!
And Miyamoto is way too focused on making games for everyone, its holding him back.
However, when I get involved in a title, I focus a lot on more experience and the more advanced gameplay elements. If I get into it, there's a tendency for difficulty levels to ramp up so that's something I really have to watch for myself to make sure that I don't do that.
See that, I knew it, he has crazy ideas to make one hell of a difficult game, he just doesn't allow himself to do it. He is his own limitation.
At least we got good info on Zelda off of that interview, brand new storyline.
He was joking about the table manners thing. Then again . . . it could be an awesome idea!
I have been chipping away at Sacred 2 for 20 hours now...
...and I have explored 8% of the map!
You do the math! This game is bigger than Oblivion and more fun to play!
That is all.
You dont just say something is better than Oblivion and walk away. I dont believe you.
Its four guys talking about what they saw at E3. Look at this clip and tell me we cant put on a better show if we were there in front of a camera. It's the same thing as our podcast, but with video. They have the foreign guy with the accent. The dude that goes on and on and doesn't shut up (me). The calm cool dude like Yoda. They are missing a screaming mad man like Homer though, so we win.
How on Earth do you get "When ever I make a game I always explore advanced game elements however I try not to make the game difficult and complicated while do it so it's not inaccessible to broad players" and "If Wii Sports Resort sells well we'll make a game of table manners" as "I'm dumbing down my games for more casual players" and "I don't want to make core games I want to make simple casual ones"?
The former you quoted was obviously a joke and the latter he states on how he always creates his games (including from the NES days) which makes sense as every game he's ever created outside of Super Mario Bros. 2 were always on the easy side.
Well it's really isn't that har- never mind I don't want to start a fiasco again.
One of the site's forefathers.
Play fighting games!
*walks away*
The explorable map is tremendous and doesn't even take into account the dungeons and underworld!
The dialogue is humorous throughout most of the game.
It has a TON of really nice little touches here and there: Visable items on the character when equipped. Real time shadows and lighting effects. Colored lighting effects. Realistic physics. (I love killing a monster or man on a hill and watching it roll down it in real time!)
You get mounts (horsies!) and special mounts (spiders and dragons!)...
You get tons and tons and tons of sidequests...!
There are 6 or so races, each play differently. I believe 4 out of 6 you can choose good or evil...
You can forge your own equipment via rings, talismans, shards, etc...
It's ONLINE...
Too many reasons to list!
*walks away again*

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileAll screens I have seen from that game look like ass. Of the ugliest possible kind.
I swear it looks like an N64 game, and a bad one at that. Seriously, yuck!
Plus we're better looking, obviously, so again ... we win

I AM NOT A SCREAMING MAD MAN.
Hey, Chris Kohler and Billy Berghammer. I love those guys.
Got to play some Uncharted 2 with Vader, fun stuff. Cheers mate!
They are also missing the awesome robot god
I think Miyamoto was not responsible for Super Mario Bros 2/lost levels, I think it was someone else! Besides this is classic Miyamoto interview, they never ever makes sense.---
Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileSo I'm the only one that thinks table manners is something Miyamoto would make a game on, cause he has stranger inspirations for games.
The next quote he is saying how his thought process always leads to advanced gameplay and difficult situations, he holds himself back to make the games accessable. Imagine if he let loose in one game, what kind of majestic game we would get. I never stated once that he was dumbing down his games, you made that up, I said he has always held himself back.
Jesus Vader, stop paying attention to his interviews. He always says weird shit, like once he told Mario will turn more mature.
Oh and Megaton.....
Smash Bros Online Service Ending June 30th
Well, I guess that's one way to fix the lag problem.
I think Miyamoto says crazy stuff like that just to rile up the hardcore.
Oh, and did some mention a more mature Mario?
*shivers*
