“Well, you know, Zack and Wiki…Another one in a long line of

Capcom is actually putting some of the blame...on themselves...and it's...a Wii game?

In terms of highlights coming out of this show, I’d say Nintendo’s Iwata keynote is the one that you’ll really want to watch (Jeremy will be live blogging it tomorrow morning). I thought he was just going to be talking about Motion Plus and DSi, but it turns out he’s going to be announcing quite a few new games — for Wii, Wiiware, and Virtual Console (and this won’t just be Nintendo titles, but also third party stuff). I’ve already heard about a few of them (including one that makes me all giddy…I can’t wait for tomorrow now).

Did you read the bit I posted about the April game too from IGN? That's two awesome games and tommorrow Red Steel 2 will be shown in NGamer. It might be the first time I have bought a magazine in two years.
"a shirtless boy pirate. " Yeah, the presentation does put off some people (I'm not one of them) but the game has niche written all over it, when were graphic adventures last popular? And they could actually F-ing advertise it too. They should have taken advantage of this long tail selling pattern on the system, repeat advertise, drop the price, bundle it. Do whatever it takes to sell.
Now? Now any new game will be episodic cross platform content IMO. Capcom is moving towards that anyway. Zack and Wiki needed voice acting, a few less kiddy type stuff in places, some epic cutscenes and a major advertising push. They spend $20 million advertising Lost Planet, where is the support for ZW?
EDIT: More weird capcom stuff, they said that Okami Wii was a success, which contradicts Svensson.

Disney Interactive Studios Announces Toy Story Mania!, Inspired by the Disney/Pixar Feature Film “Toy Story,” Exclusively for Wii™ Beloved “Toy Story” Characters and Theme Park Attraction Provide Backdrop for Family-Friendly Carnival-Style Video Game
BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Disney Interactive Studios today announced Toy Story Mania!, inspired by the Disney/Pixar animated feature “Toy Story,” will be released exclusively for the Wii™ home video game console this fall. Toy Story Mania! showcases an array of entertaining games based on the new Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort attractions, while featuring the iconic characters and humor from the popular Disney/Pixar “Toy Story” franchise.
“The ‘Toy Story’ franchise is a fun, dynamic and heart-warming series containing characters and themes that connect with every age group,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. “Toy Story Mania! combines those popular elements with the unique antics of the new theme park attraction for the ultimate in family entertainment.”
In Toy Story Mania!, players experience the fast-paced, zany fun of the Toy Story Mania! theme park attraction, which is an interactive experience requiring 3D glasses and involving rapid or quick-firing shooting galleries. In addition to galleries adapted from the attraction, the game includes new and original galleries and a series of mini games, all hosted by beloved characters from the movies. The thematically-connected levels are designed for up to four players of all ages with competitive and co-operative multiplayer options. Toy Story Mania! also includes bonus 3D features, transforming the game experience with eye-popping visuals.
The Pixar-created “Toy Story” and ”Toy Story 2” have both had successful box office and DVD sales. The Disney Digital 3D™ theatrical re-release of “Toy Story” is in the works and will open in theatres on October 2, 2009, followed by the 3D re-release of “Toy Story 2” opening on February 12, 2010, leading up to the premiere of “Toy Story 3” in 3D summer 2010. Toy Story Mania! is the first video game to place characters from these films into a carnival game setting and is expected to resonate with fans of the films and the attraction, as well as gamers who like pick-up-and-play party games.
Developed by Papaya Studio, Toy Story Mania! will be available this fall exclusively for Wii.
Or this?
Based on Walt Disney's G-Force, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the game revolves around a team of trained secret agent guinea pigs that take on a mission for the US government to stop an evil billionaire, who plans to destroy the world with household appliances.

Where is Raven?
That's badass.
You know, I'm still pissed that Sega cancelled Virtua Hamster for the 32X.
Been playing Gears of War 2 online and I'm really loving the new title update. New ranking system, new achievements, and just all around tons of fun means I'll be putting tons of time in this game, again. I can't wait to get the new map pack for GoW2 next week plus new Halo 3 map pack soon after that = awesomeness
Oh jeez. . . a Toy Story game. I've been on this ride at Disney World and I will admit it's actually pretty cool but I don't think I need to play the at-home version. On the ride you have water being squirted at you and gushes of wind blown in your face too to really give you a "this is really happening" experience. Can't see why they think it'd work on a console...
Oh and for the record, even my 9 year old daughter wasn't interested in the guinea pig game. Just to put that in perspective for you.
Did you guys hear yesterday? Grand Slam tennis Euro launch has Wii motionplus bundled. Is Nintendo giving EA the european exclusive of Motionplus and then keeping it for Wii Sports resort in the US?
Either way this is a coup for EA and a big measure of support from Nintendo as Sports Resort was suppossed to be THE game to push the device.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!

I
recentely noticed that HOTD Overkill is ridiculously easy in
multiplayer. Play in that mode and the game is barely a distraction and
most people dont even try for combos. Especially when the weapons are
powered up.
How hard is it to make a harder or easier mode for a game by
tweaking the damage enemies take? Or changing your life or ammo or
weapons.
that's one thing UC does better: the co-op. And yeah, it's simply because the enemies get sluughtered so quickly, which also means nobody can build up combos, so it's kinda lame if you're trying to get a high score.

BTW, didn't Zack and Wiki sell like 300k+? That's pretty damn good for an adventure game...a niche puzzle/adventure game at that! Ironically I remember quite a few ads on TV for it here.
