I just find them boring. The only reason I could hack Umbrella Chronicles was because of the RE stuff. I'd rather spend my time elsewhere.
Different strokes. I'm surprised you could make it through UC though if you dont like light gun games. Because that's a much slower light gun game than typically.
Just, kill me now. I hear the sequel is called Indiana Jones: The search for a good game
Phillip Marlowe game Farewell my Lovely on DS.
I love the books. This is awesome.
TENCHU 1up review
So the game has some significant issues, which pretty much every Tenchu has, no matter the developer. And yet once you grow accustomed to the game's quirks, you soon find yourself in a rhythm where gamer instincts overcome sloppy game mechanics. Eventually, the thrill of starting a level -- unarmed -- and slowly but surely making your way over rooftops and underwater and over rafters becomes a guilty thrill. Sure, many of the mission objectives are mere copycats of previously done "kill the evil boss" routines we've done time and time again, but the deeper you get into the Shadow Assassins experience, the more enjoyable it becomes. Fortunately Ubisoft spent the months between the Japanese and U.S. releases tweaking and finessing the game to be less frustrating and more encouraging, so players will give each level one more try. There's an immense amount of satisfaction to be found here, provided you get past the game's initial stumbling blocks. And whether you're a long-time fan of the series or merely a curious onlooker, anyone looking to get past the "casual gaming" focus that's smothering the Wii these days can do no better than to begin here.

DEADLY CREATURES destructoid preview
A dark, dank environment appears before you. It seems like a small area, if only because the lack of light makes it difficult to see very far. But you hear a faint skittering off to one side, and then a brown mantis edges into view. The “camera” doesn’t move to follow it; it’s stationary, as if you’re watching recorded footage, so all you see is the mantis crawling around. And then, in a flash, the insect is gone -- devoured by a gila monster; it now sits contentedly in front of you, licking its lips with its forked tongue.
This is the opening movie that plays behind the “press A” main menu of Rainbow Studios’ Deadly Creatures. As you can imagine, the game like nothing else on the Wii -- or any other console, really, for that matter -- a creature combat adventure with an intriguing, overarching human storyline that takes place around the starring arachnids’ micro-scale world. I saw the finished game yesterday, and it’s looking fantastic.
Fragile Gametrailers preview is definetely worth watching guys
HOTD Overkill IGN review
I can say with confidence that this game is undoubtedly a success, and what appears to be a kick-off to an all new era of The House of the Dead on Wii.
This is a beautiful game to boot up, it has a front end that's actually fun to just cruise around in and admire, and it nails the title's intended look.
– every shotgun shot can at times be accompanied by a single frame freeze as you pull the trigger. this frame issue – is the biggest setback in the game, but not one that should discourage anyone from picking the game up and having a blast with it – is sad to see in a game that has so much amazing content in it.
After getting a couple years of catch-up light gun games from SEGA, we’re finally getting to the good stuff. The House of the Dead: Overkill blends some great gameplay with an impressive style, some great humor, and enough violence and vulgarity to confuse the hell out of soccer moms looking for a new Sims game or Petz title.
Worst thing about it? He's a Welsh boy who grew up in England who now even talks with a quasi American accent in his real life. And talks with an English accent when he comes back to England for interviews. Where he beats up his mother and sister in hotel rooms. I'm seriously losing respect for Bale, he's not even that great an actor.
i heard the christian bale rant (complete with beeps!) in the car
driving home from work the other day. what a prick. it was like
something lifted from ricky gervais extras.
reviews have left me seriously considering HOTD overkill. i like
exploitation flicks and cheap zombie horror flicks, so the sense of
humour and the material is enticing, i'm just not yet sure i will
consistently enjoy the gameplay of a rail-shooter on the wii. but this
one definitely sounds like it was done right.
oboromuramasa: wow, i want this game ... like ... now

really good updates on the whole
I'm dissappointed with the frame rate blips, it just shouldn't be there. I watched the IGN video and I could definetely notice it. On the other hand it sort of reminds of Wind Waker where your sword blows have this slight in built delay which accentuates the moment. Have you not tried other light gun shooters on the system?
SEGA ones have this calibration system where you can turn off the cursor completely and you can even buy these wiimote shells to use as guns. Foolz has ordered the double boxset, but the reviews say its no good. Foolz, cancel the pre-order!
The good thing is that the Eurogamer review said that:
"Overkill is that rarest of things, a brilliant "light-gun" game for the home."
That tells me that it's going to have a good length, replay value, upgrades, unlockables and scoring opportunities as well as checkpoints, savepoints, generous continues. Everything a home styled light gun game should have.
Wow at HotD, I cant get it but it will be a definete rental.
GG what you described is Killzone 2, all about cover and precise shots. It has great AI and amazing epic type battlegrounds.
So does it almost feel like a sci fi Medal of Honor Frontline -with epic set pieces, awesome graphics etc- but more punishing?
How do you feel about the controls and the slower movement I read in previews that it added a weight and reality to the game, a sort of bulky solidness that people came to appreciate.
...Is it hard to make a female character who wears clothes and doesn't dress like a hooker? Is it really?
I think the real question is:
Would you want a female character who doesn't dress like a hooker?
Indeed. I am so going to be all over this game.
I really love my light gun shooters so HotD Overkill will most likely be a purchase from me. I just really wish someone would bring some out for the 360.

i was disappointed by the ign article saying the new metroid is probably just added lore on the website. i was hoping for a new game, or at least additional content in the wiimakes of prime 1 & 2

Well considiring that the Space Pirate lore was one of the best and amusing writing in videogames, I say bring it on!

Yes because it totally ruins the immersion, atmosphere, and realism of the game or film. Nobody would dress like that for obvious reasons of both self-respect and common battle sense.

Wrong Fedor does just fine in his undies.
If Fedor can fight in his Boxershorts, than she can fight in a thong

Christian Bale rant WTF? Bit OTT

That game can't be Kameo's spiritual sequel. Not with that thong. Which is the spice. Of the life.
And what the fuck is Alan Wake doing in that 2009 360 games list? At this point in time, I refuse Alan Wake is being developed.
I'm so hyped for Deadly Creatures.
