Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile^^^Thanks Yodo. But yeah I'm almost done with MGS4. I'm at the final secret agent boss battle and wow what a surprise. Saying this I am pretty upset with how they handle Mei Ling's character. I mean really is it hard to have more then ONE strong female character in the game? Is there a reason why she has to be like your typical frail, weak, innocent, sex object? I mean she's A CAPTAIN DURING A WORLD CRISIS FOR FUCK'S SAKE! See in a game like "The Witcher" I didn't care if girls seemed like tools because it's part of the game (an ADULT MALE RPG where you play the role of a Badass) so it made sense to have that in there as it was part of the entire games tone. But seriously WTF? I know you can argue about Akiba being the dimwit but it's part of his character, Mei Ling's shit is just pure fanservice. *Sigh* I REALLY hope this whole "Weak/Object Woman Portrayal" follows the same path the "One Black Guy Brother Who Keeps It Real" is going. Seriously just stop it. Woman do NOT act, dress, or think like this just like black people don't act or think like how they used to be portrayed. No they aren't "this is how it's suppose to be done" shit they branch off from pure ignroancy. Woman were given few dominant roles and were potrayed of being weak because at the time (I can even argue for the present) most writers and audience members couldn't believe that a woman was capable of being strong or corageous. For black people it was the whole "Our audience doesn't want to see "niggers" so let's just put one in there to have at least SOME diversity so that the protesters will be quiet." God such stupid shit. And it isn't limited to women or black people either which is the crazy part .
One of the site's forefathers.
Play fighting games!
That reminds me, though; why is it so common that you can't select/create a female character in games? For example, Fifa Street 2. It's an arcade sports game, can't you loosen up a bit here? Even sports simulations, what's the harm if it's a user-created thing? If I want to, why stop me?

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileHuh I thought they handled Mei Ling well. Sure they made jokes about her looks, so what. She stays true to her character. In this game she is a rookie captain, on a ship that was never ever meant to be used for anything, it was basically a dead end for Mei Ling but the circumstances made it so that only her ship works. All of a sudden she is in command of saving the world, a bit much for a rookie dont you think.
Not really for me. Especially on the examples I've talked about.
I see where you are coming from but I don't think that clumsy, innocent, sex tease was the right way to go. I'm not complaining that her character isn't possitive just that it is unrealistic and inappropriate for the scene.

You should have rubbed it on your balls and smiled.
Have you tried stuffing a sandwich in the disc tray? A cheese one would do the job. As for nintendo they are publishing some good stuff, from that conference late last year. They announce games and snap release them recentely so the stuff they announce at E3, I expect a couple to hit in autumn or whatever. Most 3rd party titles missed Christmas 08 and so are launching within the next 3 months. There is some good looking stuff I am interested in before summer.
With your new PC you should just play graphic adventures and nothing but. Get the Tex Murphy games pronto.
Just about any and every HDTV can take a PC input these days. And with wireless mice and keyboards, it's good.
Super Monkey ball 2? Two? Have you travelled back in time Marty McVader? Did anyone play the Wii one? The controls made it more fun and actually more accurate, but losing that crutch of steady analogue made the game impossible to complete. They f-ed up by making you hold the controller vertically. Have you tried Boom Blox in multiplayer? It wasn't until I made it to the zombie cat stages AND tried out the multiplayer with family members, both gamers and non-gamers that I realised the games value. Hundreds of stages, a medal system to encourage replay, oh and try out the stage creator (with the nunchuk attached) too. There are some crappy sections, I hate throwing those explosive balls for instance.
I only played the demo for NG DS. It was great but seemed a little shallow and I heard the game was short?
Do you ever smile?
LOL that sounds awesomely bad, like Disaster Day of Crisis bad.
Oh yeah if you get stuck on the advanced stages there are cheat codes here:

Reading that GameInformer top 25 cube games list. LOL Eternal darkness at 4? LOL, feck off. I love the game, but no way in hell.
I also keep forgetting that Twilight Princess is on cube too. That list is messed up when Rogue Leader comes above Metroid Prime. I'm glad that Killer 7 got a nod.
Awesome stuff. The Gears of War 2 update sounds pretty hefty and with some new achievements to boot. I pretty much have all the original ones plus I already got the downloadable map pack so having some new achievements to strive for is going to be really sweet.
Leaked Forza 3 screenshots? You damn right I care. Forza is my favourite racing sim so I'm eagerly awaiting this next installment in the franchise.
PS LOL at anyone hoping GT5 is being released this year. fat chance

.....Eternal Darkness is easily in my top 5 Gamecube games. So go suck on Steelio.
Hey, seriously, has anyone noticed how in this current generation, its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find reviews that compare each version of a multi-platform game? I mean they treat each game like its so identical on each system that they don't need to compare/contrast them.
Go look up some reviews for last-gen games.....always system comparisons. Makes it easier to figure out which system to get what game on. I was reading some Kasavin reviews at Gamespot, man I miss that guy. Great explanations of each version of the multi-plat games.
So true. Reviewers make the PS3/360/360 games are all on one console.

It was one of those games that was sitting on the shelf, that I got to the end but never finished. Hard as hell game, but it controls fine with a stick.
Boom Blox only single player so far, its amazing the amount of content. Best use of the wiimote outside of Elebits. Awesome game so far. Sad that the level sharing isn't open, what a waste of create a level mode.
NGDS, yeah its going to be short, I can tell alreaedy, 6-7 hours. And yeah, all you do is kind of scratch at the screen. But I still love it, I am amazed that it still has that NG feel. Bosses are great, combat is really good. I like it a lot.
Camera sucks
Control sucks
I just played for about 45 minutes, don't think I made it through an entire level, but I got too motion sick to continue playing. Shooting in 3rd person is nearly impossible, shooting in 1st person is even worse (don't seem to even be able to move.) Near when I quit I was in a driving sequence, shooting out the passenger window and I could barely even hit a car with a machine gun, so WTF. And during the driving, the computer driver just kept driving into walls repeatedly.
During hand-to-hand combat it randomly zooms in on you and the person you are fighting from a side view, where if anything it should be zooming OUT so you can see the other 2 people attacking you from behind.
Maybe it's just the resolution I was playing on, but wtf.
Think I'm gonna uninstall it and try Oni.
Finished NGDS, 6 hours, very cool game. Makes great use of the DS, keeps the spirit of Ninja gaiden alive in tiny handheld form. Recommened for all action game fans with a DS.
