Sorry to hear that Vader. Stuff like that's a real reality check.
As for us still hanging around here, don't worry, I'll be sure to switch the lights off when all of you old farts have passed away in a decade or 4.
I'm sorry for your loss, Vader. We are here if you need to chat. I am also happy to have this small group of friends across the globe.
It's hard to believe that we've been here for nearly seventeen years.
My screen protector arrived and its godamn huge. I know the screen has bezels but the protector covers the whole surface. You can tell this thing is going to be large even compared to the OLED.
I ordered Cyberpunk, a charging grip for OG joycons and a carrying case/sling bag.
I used to use those rectangular cases and then put that hard case in a bag. But hardly ever used it outside the house.
For this gen I decided a small hard sling bag would be ideal rather than a traditional rectangle case.
It's larger, has a hard shell, is waterproof and has padded sections inside. It has a short adjustable single strap so it's ideal to wear as a chest bag.
I'm also considering a fast charging power bank but although the bank would charge quickly, the Switch 2 doesn't support it so it would still take time to charge.
I have a 20'000 rated external bank but it couldn't charge Switch 1 when I was actually playing it.
Sorry to hear about your friend, Vader. That's tough.
[According to the poll from a year and a half ago, 44% here have PlayStation as their main platform followed by 36% PC and Xbox at 14%. Only 6% here have a Nintendo as their main platform.]
Mildy interesting trivia.
My sincere condolences, Vader.
I didn't know FMV games were still a thing. I looked up Complex on Steam and was surprised by the amount of them. I used to really enjoy those terrible Sega CD FMV games, lol.
Hogwarts is great; I need to get back to it after Oblivion.I have to do a doubletake every time I see The Complex show up in a game search. The main actress who appears on the cover/intro art plays Katie on Letterkenny, an extremely funny show that I dearly love. So every time I scroll across it, I can't help but think I'm looking at a video game based on that show. And then I get disappointed remembering that it's not.
So sorry to hear that, Vader. Losing family is tough, but sometimes losing friends is harder. You can't pick your family, but you can pick your friends. Losing people you choose to have in your life just hits that much harder.
Thanks guys, again always helps to have people like you guys around. This was my nerd friend, he was the one that won the sonic championship in 99, went to my high school so we met and were friends ever since. I've been through some loss, I feel I handle it as well as you can, but I have to go see his family which became extended family to me and that will be the hardest part. Just take care of yourselves and hug your loved ones cause you never know.
Wales interactive have made a bunch. Strong reccommend for Late Shift if you want to dip your toes in. If you played Bandersnatch on Netflix, it's like that -- choose your own adventure stuff.
Nintendo has been my main platform for the following gens: SNES, Gamecube, Switch. In each of those gens they had better tech or in the case of the switch a USP - portability and docking. In those three gens if a game was multiplat I'd get it on Nintendo's format. Gamecube was markedly better than PS2 graphically. At the same time I did go with Xbox as it was also on par with the gamecube, and in some cases better.
In fairness I was PC/Wii for a long period too, but there were so many third party games on PS3 and 360 that were not on the Wii that waned pretty quick.
I've really grown accustomed to playing portable. It's just so convenient. I don't even use the dock anymore when the telly is free. It's come to a point where I'm debating on getting a Series S to play some games that don't seem to be coming to Switch2, but I'm hesitant to do so because I probably won't play much as I can't be bothered with gaming on the big screen anymore.
I had to think about it for myself, and was kinda surprised that I only consider the Wii as my main gaming platform from Nintendo for most of that generation. My main gaming platforms for each gen: Atari 7800, Genesis, Saturn, Xbox (Gamecube was really close, though), Wii, PS3, PS4 and PS5.
Nope, I own an Xbone X which I barely use.
