Man, I wish we had palm trees over where I live. We've just got boring plain trees.
I have 2 palm trees in my yard. I actually had 5 when we first bought the house, but they're surprisingly susceptible to disease and 3 died over the years. For the price of having them removed I could have had something a lot cooler than stumps.
When I bought a house with them I cut the two palms in the backyard immediately, as you would know Robio, once they get big (which doesn't take long) they are a pain and a hazard in cyclone/hurrihurricane-prones.
Fortunately, of all the things I've cut down palm trees are the easiest. Chainsaw goes through like a knife through butter and because of their shape they are easy to direct where they fall.
Yep. The three I had to cut down were taller than a two-story house. They were very thin on top of that and when the wind blew strong it was kind of scary to look at them. Glad we got rid of them.
As for the two that remain, they're actually a different breed and very sturdy. Pretty sure they'd even survive a cat 5 hurricane at this point.
I manage with it, (teams) but it's just another way for people to interrupt me with shit that if they paused for 45 seconds longer could have figured it out themselves. And a side topic, people who use the words "ASAP" and "emergency" at work have not had enough negative life experiences to know when to appropriately use those fucking words. Examples of when I would text someone to "call ASAP" include:
- My home or farm being on fire.
- My wife or child being injured.
- Being arrested and not have money to post bail.
- Causing unintentional self-harm with a chainsaw or similar implement.
Is the latest God of War good? The sequel to Dad of War? I forgot it even came out.
It seems pretty good from what little I’ve played of it so far. Really need to play more though. Maybe after Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Dragon’s Dogma 2.

DragDog2 has received an overwhelmingly positive preview cycle. I started playing the original last year and fell off for no fault of the game (just playing on the older consoles is sometimes harder in my house with TV sharing). Thanks for the word, I'll likely get it with a PS5 once I have put my file size download fears to rest.

Yeah it’s sounding like it’s really good indeed. I enjoyed the first one so looking forward to DD2.

Wow, only 68 too. I thought he was quite a bit older.
Ugh, this new trend of websites and apps requiring increasingly stringent passwords is bugging me to no end. I have a couple of passwords I've used regularly over the last 10 years, the choice depending on the requirements and the importance of the information it's guarding. But there seems to be a new trend that asks for passwords to contain a capital letter, a number, a special sign, be at least so and so long, ... Some of these backwater websites I don't often use are requiring me to come up with completely new passwords just because they decided they're important enough to ask for an inanely complex password.
What also bothers me is that when you need to type in your password, they don't list these requirements. Time and time again I have to type a dozen or so passwords because I can't remember which one I've registered there the last time I needed to log in 9 months ago. Then when I'm about to give up and just ask to create a new one, they'll show me this list and I'm like, yeah, based on these requirements now I know which one I used.

The original is always on sale on Switch. I never picked it up as the art style didn't appeal and it looked very much like a DMC combat style.

Just have one of those fancy AI programs handle all of your passwords and logins fot you.
Stellar Blade PS5 demo was accidentally released yesterday on PSN. I missed it but a lot of people downloaded it before sony pulled it.
Watching gameplay of the demo on YT, it looks like the combat will be a lot of fun. The monster designs are great. It's looking like it'll be a great PS5 exclusive. I want to play the demo for myself, Sony!
I booted up Enslaved on Steam today. It's a typical console to PC port as it has very few options in-game to change for graphics. Max Res is 1080p but I'm going to see if I can alter the config file later. I had to force AA in Nvidia's control panel as well as anistropic filtering. Game runs 144fps (according to Steam's FPS counter) most of the time and looks great. There's some minor shadow glitch in some of the in-game cutscenes. Pre-rendered cutscenes are noticably lower resolution and are locked to 30fps, which is jarring. It looks and feels so much better than the PS3 version. Well worth the $3 for this "remaster."
My son bought the Splatoon3 DLC. The Tower of Order should be to Splatoon3 what the Octo expansion was to Splatoon2, but I'm not convinced. It has a roguelite like setup where you ascend a 30 storey tower floor by floor, beating a challenge level on each floor. You die, you start again at the bottom. On each playthrough you can buy upgrades to make you last longer, even extra lives. there are a handful of different types of objectives, but things get repetitive fast. Regardless of the objective, there'll be these hordes of enemies spawning that'll try to swarm you on each level, resulting in most levels becoming a matter of crowd control. There are only a handfull of bosses and while they're not half bad they get cycled through as well.
I'm sure the devs thought it'd be 'fresh' to go with the current industry trends and infuse the roguelite element, but I'd much rather have carefully designed challenges like those from the Octo expansion. I managed to get to the final boss on my second try as well. I didn't manage to beat him, but I can see myself being done with this very fast.

Surely only if they're seriously injured!
Foolz you paying attention?

Aww man, that sucks. Akira Toriyama passed away. R.I.P.

A unique talent.
Have a good weekend everyone, I am off to the beach for a few days.

Figured he was older as well.

Just beat the final boss in Octopath traveller 2.
Was easier than I thought. Once I split my team up with a healer on each, as soon as I could get past the first round, I had access to Ochette.
Used high power attacks that hit multiple weak points at once. Destroyed that evil asshole.
Great game overall, even more so than the excellent original. Enjoying the credits right now.
Cool how long was it? Do you know what that same dev team is working on now?

Probably released it too early and they’ll officially release it a little later. Hope it turns out well as I am interested in it.
