Was that YOU I passed on Broadway, Robio? If I had known, I would have followed it up with our festive: "FUCK YOU, I'm walkin' here ...and a Happy New Year!"

That was probably me. I did walk down Broadway last night.
By the way, congratulations on really cleaning up the city. I've only seen one person selling crack in the open since I got here, and I'm staying in times square. That said people are selling joints like they're Girlscout cookies in February.
I just browsed through that Eurogamer top 50 list. I know technically it was a top 10 list with 40 notable mentions, but wow... It really seems like they were digging to get to 50 games.
So funny story. Last night while walking around the outskirts of Time Square I saw the SWAT team go into a side door next to the World of Nintendo. I've been looking for any News to see if something happened, but so far nothing seems to been reported.

Yeah, CNN said something about an active hostage situation...
I got back into Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on the PS5 this long weekend. It was like riding a bike. Didn’t take long to get back into the swing of things again.
I was a little disappointed that I was unable to purchase Baldurs Gate 3 for Christmas. So yesterday I searched through the Game Pass selection looking for a game that might bring joy and give that Christmas feeling. That feeling of being a kid again, just sitting back and enjoying my time playing a game. I chose Atomic Heart which, after a very slow start, has turned out to be a fine game. It has been compared to Bioshock and it certainly has its similarities, but lacks some of the charm of that series. You could certainly tweak a few things here and there and pass this off as the 4th entry in the series. The combat is pretty fun and I am enjoying the dialogue between the protagonist and his..hand.
Well Christmas wasn't too bad, although my nephew's all seem to hate each other.
It's also impossible for anyone to sit down and watch anything.
I completed Mario Wonder, only a few special world levels left. Got better as it progressed and the final level and boss and credits were sublime. It's almost like they're showing off. Great game, best platformer I've played since Super Mario World.
Gave up on Gamedec, there's way too much reading, it's endless and the text is so small even on a giant TV. I find myself falling to sleep as my eyes get tired. It's a good game I just can't read endlessly.
There's also something about isometric games doesn't gel with me. I can't seem to connect visually with these games, stuff like Diablo, Baldurs Gate etc I can't even imagine myself playing. The viewpoint doesn't immerse me in the game.
In Gamedec they have character art but only for a few main characters. All other characters appear with a blank silhouette.
It's weird as I can play top down games, like completely vertical, but isometric is like my kryptonite.
Needed something easy and soothing so I started Ghost Files, an Artifex Mundi murder mystery game. Feels good, playing as a Detective and examining crime scenes etc.
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!
Merry Christmas, all!
Merry Christmas.
Its a bit miserable here. Wish I could just stay home and pretend today wasn't happening. Have to go see the family though. Ugh

Happy, indeed.

You should wear this:
Merry Christmas everybody!
Also played some Resident Evil 2 Remake and Doom Eternal too. I've been in an action game mood over the long holiday weekend.

Late Merry Christmas! When I was a kid I would get game consoles, loads of new games, cool toys.
Now I get a vacuum cleaner. I need one so it's cool.
