You probably don't need to. I'm in Baldurs Gate now and never had too much trouble. It all comes down to the character you pick (I don't recommend starting as a Warlock) and the party members you gather. Who have you found so far?
I'm playing a barbarian and I currently have Lae'zel, Shadowheart and Gale in my party. I haven't gotten very far in yet. Combat is taking me some time to get used to.
Oh sure, I try to get you guys to play dungeons and Dragons and I get crickets. But now you all want to play Baldur's Gate 3. I hope you all have to roll with penalty for the rest of your game.
I think I'ce already been cursed. I roll a -1 every time my barbarian tries to do something like pick a lock. It took me a while to figure out it's because her intelligence is at 8 instead of 10. I knew I shouldn't have gone with the recommended stats but I have no idea what I'm doing, lol.
Barbarian is actually a better starter than what I picked, and --MUCH-- easier to play! (Although it also means you're going to be fighting a lot more, rather than finding back and secret entrances and sneaking around.)

Yeah it's nice as even faster speeds would be, that is just too much. I have my internet bundled with a cell phone plan for three users and it's only $300.
That's kind of a shame though. The North Carolina triangle is one of the areas that were considering moving to next year.
Wow. 'only' isn't a phrasing I'd add to a $300 a month plan. We pay about €100, but our internet is the most basic package available on the market these days. I couldn't justify paying that kind of money on a monthly basis.
Just to reiterate, that is not $300 for just internet. The internet portion of my bill is only $70 or so. The bulk of that 300 are the cell phone fees for four users (I said three earlier but I forgot my daughter is also on our plan).
Just out of curiosity, are those the kind of plans you get a new phone with every so often?
It started off that way, but as of right now only my daughter's phone is not paid off and tied to her account. I've just found it's cheaper to buy your phone.
Case in point a few weeks ago I got a Google pixel 6A. It's a mid to lower range phone that only came out a year and a half ago, but I picked it up for only $99. At that price why not? Even if I don't like it, I can get a new phone sometime next year and I won't feel like I threw my money away.
I've been sick as hell the last few days but today I'm feeling better. I have been playing BG3, still early but it's fun. The one thing I am worried about is that in DoS2 I was doing all kinds of cool unorthodox things to win or find ways to get advantages in fights, I'm not seeing that in this yet. The fights seem to be very standard RPG stuff where I am just using damage spells or attacks and using healing. In DoS2 I was doing all kinds of stuff with the environments. Cast is good so far, some decent story choices. It ain't blowing me away or anything yet.
i also started the God of War free DLC and that's really fun. It's like a Hades rogue like mode very story driven so every run you get something new. And it's fun to see elements from the old GoW games show up.

I recommend finding a certain Vampire party-member if you're having trouble picking locks...

How the heck did you get Shadowheart and Lae'zel to cooperate with each other so quickly?! 😧
No idea. They do have some fun dialogue exchanges, lol.
They were happy to fight together from the start for me. Then again, maybe I had to persuade them to; and I have lots of bonuses for that.
That’s funny because I currently have them together in my party as well.

My phone plan is $17AUD a month. It used to be $15, now I feel it's a bit pricey.
Yikes! Time to cancel.
