I've played mainly Link's Awakening on the Switch's GBColor emulator this weekend. I beat the 6th dungeon but must admit I had to resort to a guide. For the love of me, I couldn't find out how to advance. I had even resorted to randomly bombing walls in search for a hidden passage (couldn't use the audio cue as I was playing in public with the sound muted). Turned out you needed to throw vases at a gated door. That's just sloppy design. That doesn't work in any other dungeon, in any other Zelda game.
So my son, thanks to YouTube, is now interested in speed running through games. He made a goal to finish Super Mario Odyssey in under two hours by May. He accomplished this today. Now he wants to speed run Breath of the Wild.
That's impressive!
Today is my first day doing the night shift at the hospital, very boring so far. I'm here with one other person just doing monitoring, he is a big gamer and brings his laptop and switch and plays destiny lol. So I guess I'll take GGs advise and bring my switch, maybe get a steam deck.
Still playing Hogwarts, enjoyable, fun to play, nothing special, nothing bad, it's a well made game. Still getting through these VR games, RE8 is so damn good, easily my favorite. GT7 is up there too. Horizon, I'm trying... it's such a slog. Pistol whip is fucking amazing but it's such a work out I basically only play when I schedule my workout or shower for the day cause I'm a sweaty mess after playing.
Today while playing Judgment I defeated a major boss. The Prince of Perverts, the Emperor of Exhibition, the villainous Giant Impact. Basically the dude approaches women while wearing nothing but a mask and asks them to admire the massive shadow that his scrotum casts.
Seriously, the shit this game throws at you deserves an A just for creativity.

Sounds about right.
Reminded me of a boss in Yakuza: Like a Dragon who had a fetish where he would dress up as a baby with a diaper and everything and would be treated as such.
I'm going to have to get to Like a Dragon before the year is out. I suspect I'm going to like this universe of games.
Yeah I think you’ll really enjoy the franchise. Like a Dragon plays very different then the other Yakuza games though. It plays like a turn based JRPG with crazy summon attacks and what not. Lots of nods to Dragon Quest.
For the past week, my ps5's Wi-Fi has been extremely slow, only a fraction of my bandwidth. Couldn't figure out why until this morning when I noticed it was using the 2.4GHz channel instead of the 5GHz. I forced it to use 5GHz and it's working much faster now.

I think 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is slower but has a farther connection distance than 5GHz; it's probably more compatible older hardware too. 5GHz is faster but doesn't reach as far, which is why I have four Wi-Fi extenders in my house. However, my PS5 sits in the same room, so it shouldn't ever need to connect to 2.4GHz.
Raven's explanation is correct. Devices will typically also prefer the more stable connection, even if it's slower.
We just got a replacement for our old router as itbwas havibg issue's, but it appears to only sport 5.0Ghz, which is a bummer as some older devices were indeed connected to the 2.4Ghz signal. I'll need to check if these devices can connect to the faster signal and if so I mught have to manually change the key from WPA to WEP as some devices don't support the newer key.
The clerk at the store told my wife that the router would automatically copy the older model's settings. Shows what he knows. Never trust salespeople...
I bought a physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered for Switch late last week. I wandered into the store and couldn't find it on the shelves. They had one copy behind the counter, all others had been pre-ordered. I inquired if they were expecting extra shipments, or if it was a limited item. Of course they told me this was all they were expecting, and the clerk started on some long winded tale about scalpers, which I didn't care to listen to. I bought the copy just to be on the safe side. This is the first time that I am amassing a backlog of physical games for my primary console. Here's hoping I'll manage to chew through it, but with Advance Wars in april and Zelda in May, I don't fancy my chances.
I finished High On Life, so moved on to Atomic Heart which is pretty disappointing so far, but I'm sticking with it for some reason.

This game needs a remake, Nintendo!
And who still dares to say they don't go with the times?

I just want to get to RE4.
I think this is my experience as well. I do like that at sbout thirty hours into it, its still giving me new spells, new places to explore.

We have both and I am confused as to why.

Just a reminder for those of you who have NSO, Burger Time Deluxe for Game Boy is quite fun. That game isn't a half bad way to spend some time.
Every time I recall playing Burger Time, I can smell the stale carpet at the skating rink.
I'm downloading the Anno 1800 Trial now. It's the full game and saves will transfer if I decide to buy it.
Ubisoft must not have paid Sony. It's nowhere to be found on the PS Store main page nor is it listed under new games. I had to do a search to find it.
