I've never played an Advanced Wars game. I'm looking forward to giving it a try next month.
I have the originals on GBA and actually much prefer their pixel art, but Nintendo's remakes sport extra translations these days and it's a boon for the kids to play the games in a language they can understand. Same for Metroid Prime.
Sucks for me though, as a lot of the puns and the wit doesn't translate well at all and I'd much prefer playing in English myself. I seem to recall being able to set the system's language per user, but either it's age getting the better of me, or this feature was taken out in an update.
I felt pretty lucky being able to pick up a copy of Metroid Prime Remastered at my local Best Buy when it launched because it was quickly sold out shortly after. Never saw any at my local Walmart both at launch and currently.
That Digital Foundry video about Wii U exclusives didn't mention NintendoLand. Given the subject of that video, that's not a small title to overlook. I guess they're just not into mini game collections. Pity. On that note Game & Wario was pretty darn good too.
Even though I'm fairly confident that we will see the Switch sucessor by the end of next year, I went ahead and ordered a new Switch that should arrive tomorrow. I didn't get the Oled, which only seemed worth it in handheld mode. I can't justify paying extra for it when I dont really do handheld mode. Its the Mario edition switch so I get one free Mario game. I thought it would be cool for both kids to have a Switch for when we go abroad next month. Besides, I know my son and I will both want to play Zelda once its out.
My new theory is they'll announce it this year, release it next year, and Metroid Prime 4 will be like Breath of the Wild. It'll be a launch title and backwards compatible with the Switch

Resident Evil 4 Remake getting rave reviews. Only one week away now. Woo hoo!
Loved his roles. RIP
Still kicking
Oh damn. R.I.P. Lance Reddick.
I'd like to see Star Fox Zero reworked for Switch too.

That sounds probable to me.
I think Nintendo will go the original Gameboy route with Switch and give it a lifespan of 9-10 years.
If you own two switches, you can play digital games on both simultaneously.
That is the plan. Does one have to be offline?
