Unable to watch the indie world video atm but checking my subscription on YouTube. Eastward has a launch trailer? So it's finally releasing. There's a Metal slug tactics game.

Metal slug tactics looked great. Didn't know a thing about it, but it's got that advance wars vibe and great pixel art graphics. Which is more than I can say of the Advance Wars remaster
That was actually a pretty good indie showcase. Metal Slug Tactics was the big surprise and the most intriguing game I saw. Eastward looks like it could be good. More Tetris Effect is always a good thing. And TOEM looks interesting enough that it deserves some extra investigation.
I'm still waiting for a successful well done 3d version of metal slug or contra. Can it ever be done? And I don't mean 2.5 D. Anyway, Necrobarista and Eastward look great. Route 96 is out in 4 days too. I just bought Wolfenstein on Switch for 70% off. I watched some YouTube videos and it looks incredibly blurry to me, but the colour loss seemed worse. I'm crossing my fingers Mclassic will help.
Speaking of Mclassic I haven't bothered getting a line doubler to use it with old consoles yet. And I no longer have a 1080p TV so I've only been able to get wii games at 720p. Some games look better than others, but when it works it looks sharp. Games with grain filters don't work well at all though 😑
Now with Switch I don't have a TV capable of 2k FHD so it's only pumping out 1080p. It's mileage varies hugely. On most games there's a barely perceptible effect. On some a profound effect. There's no rhyme or reason as to what will work well or not. And for some reason some games look better with mclassic with switch set to 720p and some better with switch set to 1080p. I think what this thing needs is firmware and update files that are tuned to specific games to get the best out of it. Or have a menu where you can tweak what it's actually doing yourself to get the best picture out of it. As I said, without a 1080p or 2k capable TV I'm not getting the best out of it, so bear that in mind. It's value has shown itself to me on 4ktvs where it can marginally make games slightly, to a lot less jaggy. Especially with 3d games. Wish I had a 2k capable 4ktv, then the TV would scale it from 2k to 4k.
Kotaku says gta 3,vice City and San Andreas are getting remasters including switch. Unreal engine.
that makes sense. We know Rockstar has no interest in making another GTA. This is really the only logical path.
That said I would be down for playing Vice City one more time. It was one of the few games my wife got into due to the soundtrack and the familiar city based on South Beach where she lives for a while.
I'm down for any old game on switch as long as the port is good. Handheld play is so good. For instance today a new satellite dish was being installed for the TV. I just sat there playing Burnout Paradise. I also did this last night on the toilet. BTW this game is really good. It looks almost native 720p on the switch screen and seeing a game this big with these production values played on a portable? Kinda crazy. It still looks better on the TV though. I keep starting new games on my Toshiba TV as its the main and largest set, but its terrible and everything looks jaggy and messier.
Just saw Wayforward released a new Shantae game last year. They're all pretty good fun, so I'll be getting this at some point as well. Recently started playing River City Girls and noticed it's developed by Wayforward as well, which certainly has made my expectations spike.
Turned on Wolfenstein 2 to see what it looked like. It plays this (previously on Wolfenstein) video - on a grainy black and white film reel in a tiny rectangular box. It also puts up tiny text when they are speaking German. Which is white like the rest of the screen so you can barely see it. Also you can barely hear the dialogue with sound distortion. Whoever greenlit such a shit recap video needs a kick in the balls. Might as well just view a YouTube recap.
Wolfenstein 2s opening cinematic is like 13 minutes long 😑. Played the game on handheld. It's very smooth looking. I thought I'd say it looked blurry or soft, but it almost looks like you're playing a game with a cinematic filter. I also briefly tried it on the TV and it looks better. The brightness you have to change when playing on TV versus handheld as if one is too bright the colours wash out. The motion controls I didn't have time to fiddle with. But the default settings were no where near responsive enough. But I can double the sensitivity. And also need to tweak the stick sensitivity. They might have felt sluggish because you start playing in a wheelchair.
It's a dungeon crawler where your weapons transform into hunky men and you date them to increase stats!
Happy early frigay!
I'm waiting to pull the trigger on this one. I'm trying to find out if you can name the weapons... If you can, I'm totally buying it and naming the girthiest broadsword Vader! 😙
Against better judgement I googled girth.
It didn't take much scrolling to find such interesting facts as that only 15% of men have a penis over 7 inches long, with only 3 reaching 8 inches. Luckily it only takes 6"3 to please most women, according to 'science'.
Oooo! Cool! Axiom Verge 2 and NecroBarista are out TODAY for Switch!! 😲

Haven’t watched the Indie World Showcase yet but it sounds like there was some pretty good stuff shown off.

Sounds like a blatant cash grab to me and a lame excuse to not be working on a new gta game.
I don’t think I ever played GTA 3. I loved Vice City but couldn’t get into San Andreas. Not sure if I’d be into a remastered trilogy like that.

I am all over GTA collection, only if it has the music though.
indie showcase was cool, Axiom Verge 2 drop is pretty awesome but I will still wait to get it.
How is Boyfriend Dungeon not the official game of this place

Great review foolz on Omno, I have it on gamepass but didn't know if I should try it out, I will now.
I second this, great review Foolz.
