FPS never meant a ton to me. If it's not shopping and it stays consistent then I can pretty much put up with anything. Then again, at heart I'm still a SD gamer so what do I know?
Stylized? Cohesiveness? My God, and you call yourself a gamer? How many frames per second does it run? Does it feature raytracing? Bumpmaps? Mipmaps? At least some parallax scrolling?!?!
The art just fills my heart with warmth. As a fan of animation and 2d artwork, it also evokes a nostalgic feeling whilst also feeling thoroughly modern. Just goes to show 2d games age so well.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about FPS, as long as the game doesn't look like a slideshow?
I used to care a lot and I always appreciate a solid 60fps. However the Switch has had some of the worst framerates I've ever seen and I've just gotten used to jankiness. I find that it depends on the game and whether it affects gameplay. If you die because of it, or if its CONSTANTLY janky that's when it bothers me. I think that's why I haven't bought Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. I would have preferred less enemies and a rock solid 30 fps.
I ordered an Xbox Series S plus an extra controller. Fingers crossed that it arrives early next week. I will order a game pass ultimate once it arrives.
I don't know if they still include them, but in case they don't, I still have a few 'free x weeks of some Xbox online service' cards that I can't use since they only work for new subs. I could send you the codes to try.

I don’t know, that actually sounds like it could be convenient. As long as it picks up what I want when it goes shopping.
Tried the demo for A. I The Somnium Files. If you ever wanted to be a detective in an Anime this is the game for you. It reminds me of Phoenix Wright in the investigation sections. But you go into people's dreams with this interesting mechanic where you have 6 mins to unlock someone's gates. And time runs down when you are moving or depending on the choice you make. It's pretty interesting and the sort of thing I might buy if it wasn't over £50! Also the game appears to have no anti-aliasing whatsoever and Mclassic does nothing with this game despite there clearly being many lines it should smooth out.

Replace the word "FPS" with his wife's name, now re-read the post.

I'm getting set. The Series s is due to be here by Monday evening. I went ahead and purchased the Game Pass Ultimate for a year. I couldn't reclaim my old gamer tag , so my new one is BasiclyTravo
Sundered has turned from a good game to an excellent Metroidvania. The controls are super responsive and the moveset and upgrades are awesome. The end game bosses can be a touch annoying though, they are sooooo big and the camera zooms out till you are ant sized. And you have to do ridiculous platforming feats just to get to his weak spot and just when you get there he moves away. And that repeats itself.

Has Aspro hacked your account?
Contractions are hard, dammit!

Nice! I appreciate that. I know I'm going to get at least a year's worth. All those games for the price of roughly two, how could I resist?

I had to Google Parallax Scrolling.
That's been around since the SNES days.

I couldn't resist. I've been wanting something new and just received funds from working summer school.
Congratz! Enjoy!
