I played some Trine 2 on WiiU. I didn't get along with it well. The physics are a bit wonky and you're never quite sure when something was a puzzle that you kind of just bumbled past. The 3 chararcter thing is also pretty pointless, should have just been one character with the skills combined. I also had some strange bug where the wizard's beard didn't show up which was quite awkward looking.
I’m not really sure what Nintendo could have for the rest of this year. I think Breath of the Wild 2 will a 2021 release. 2021 will probably be a big year for Zelda given that it’ll be a big anniversary year for the franchise.
Metroid Prime 4 might be a bit of a ways away still. Although hopefully it’s coming along nicely by now. I could see it possibly being a late 2021 release.
I played the second, some of the Pre-sequel and am currently playing through the first. They're FPS games that rely heavily on the witty writing and looting mechanic that is powered by near endless gun combinations. You want a shotgun that fires bullets that do electric damage? You got it! You want one that fires 3 bullets with each press of the button? You got it! You want one that has so little spread that it basically becomes a one hit kill rocketlauncher? Here you go!
You fancy grenades? Here you go. You want them to create a gravity field that pulls in enemies before it explodes for crowd control? Why didn't you say so? Oh, and you can have it break up into 6 smaller grenades after impact that'll blow up too!
And then there are the upgrade trees. You can play as a soldier who can deploy an automatic turret. Which you can then upgrade to have a shield. And rocket launchers. Even a second turret. Oh, and it can trigger a nuke as well.
Or play as a Siren with kickass crowd control powers that heal you and your party when you kill someone. Or an assassin that has his crit damage go up everytime you pull off a headshot.
It's a game that benefits a lot from playing co-op and just watching hell break loose when you dive in a big pile of baddies.
It's more like a shooter, less like a RPG, though you do level up and acquire new skills. It's a good co-op game but I enjoyed it without playing with anyone else. It doesn't take itself seriously and is lot of fun to just explore new areas. You'll be collecting lots of loot and upgrading your weapons constantly.
Try Bioshock, GG. Very atmospheric.
The original Call of Juarez is pretty good. Solid gunplay and setting, though the level design was pretty mediocre.
It's very atmospheric. Very enjoyable to just look around and admire. Much less fun to actually play.
I was browsing some old threads. I forgot we had an Eggmeister here. Or is he an alt?
The way they've simplified the magicians controls is great. No more drawing squares with an analogue stick to conjure a box. And pressing Y automatically locks onto the nearest moveable object. Wish they had retro fitted the first game with this. The archers aiming controls are way fucked up so it just realise on auto aiming. It's not a problem but gyro control could have sorted this problem easily.
