Really impressed with the game, I thought it would be a turd but it's actually good. I'd even recommend it for people who didn't take to 2D trine. The expanded moveset and 3D platforming make it feel much more like a good 3D platformer with excellent presentation. It only cost £5 in the sale, and for twice as much you can get all 4 games in a bundle. No brainer for me.
I looked it up and I had missed a hole in the floor where I started my search an hour prior. Doh!
Just upgraded my nail for the fist time.
Anybody interested in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2?
Are you going to buy it again for the GameCube?
I'll buy it if it comes to the Switch.
I think it's going to have to be a lot cheaper. Funny, I easily preordered Super Mario 3D All Stars but am hesitant to buy this. I loved those two games twenty years ago.
$40 isn't bad. Switch version will likely cost $50 (sometime next year probably). I haven't played either of them before.
That'll happened a few more times. I never got stuck too badly, but there were times I had to consult a general map layout just to get an idea of where I needed to go. Had the game come out years earlier, they would have been an instruction manual with a nonspecific map included, so I have no qualms about Consulting one myself.
When I first played SMB on the All Stars version, it didn't feel responsive enough. I think it is just as much as the original, only there's something about the original that is more fun to play. Maybe it's the new animation, or my much older self.
Either version of SMB feels the same to me. Mario's running animation is a little odd looking, though. I like the graphics and sound on All-stars but I still prefer the NES originals.
I think it is the animation that makes him appear slower.
I remember my local video store imported "The Real Super Mario Bros. 2" along with an adapter to rent. It was pretty cool to play a game from Japan on my console. Those poison mushrooms....
I thought I was the only one. For whatever reason I too find that SMB on All-Stars feels slightly different then the original. Still love playing the All-Stars version though. Looks and sounds so good.
This weekend I played a ton of Uncharted multiplayer and Journey. Plus a bit of Super Mario All Stars.
Played Animal Crossing multilayer local which is a bit junk as you can't split up. Played re6 Co op Leon campaign. Quite funny, nephew was Helena so Leon kept throwing her up towards danger and he had to protect me from the shark. Played Trine 1 and 3. They really need to add touch or gyro controls to 1 and 2 or just use the updated controls from 3 and 4.
