But is it a 'new' Switch, or simply a new itteration, like the Switch Lite, that is slightly more powerfull?
I personally think Nintendo has nothing to gain from releasing an upgraded model that is not the next generation, unless they fear that they won't be able to duplicate the Switch's succes in which case they might try prolonguing the lifespan of this generation to extract as much dollars from it as they can.
if its 4k it would have to be a hell of a lot more powerful than Switch. Unless its some checkerboard rendering trick.
Well from what I heard it wouldn’t necessarily have to be that powerful because upscaling to 4K is easier then rendering at 4K.
Took down all the bosses, dlc and hidden included.
Collected most of the weapons, armours and spells.
Watch hours upon hours of lore videos.
And overlevelled so much that the final boss went down in 3 hits.
Time to finish new game and new game + 212 hours!
Nice. I kind of did the same. Finished the game a couple of times not that long ago and watch some lore videos as well to some of the story background stuff. Pretty cool lore too.
I started playing the Creature in the Well yesterday on Xbone. I had downloaded it a while ago, when it released on GamePass, but saw that it would be leaving the subscription soon.
It's a fun little game, part Arkanoid, part pinball machine, part Ganondorf back and forth battle. It's a top down action puzzler in which you have to hit orbs of light around, riccocheting all over the place as you try to hit targets, switches and turrets, while avoiding certain hazzards. There's some story to it and the gameplay's pretty clever, if a tad repetitive as there are only so many basic blocks that the puzzels are built up from. In a clever move, you don't have to complete every puzzle: should you get stuck on one you can basically skip it if you have enough 'energy' left to open the next door. So far I've only had to forfait one puzzle. There's a visceral pleasure to be had when you see all those little balls of light bounce all over the place though. The length seems to be about right too. I've been playing for 2 evenings now and I'm about 2/3's through, which is the right kind of length for a small indie game like this in my opinion.
I just hope that I can beat it before it leaves GamePass. I should be able to, but it doesn't say when the games will be leaving exactly.
Okay, what's file this one under the "gaming innovations that impress me the most." I don't know if this has been a standard for the series for a while or if it's new, but Microsoft's Flight Simulator adds in detailed real world weather. So right now, a bunch of people are actually flying into Hurricane Laura to check it out, and the pictures are pretty cool.
It kind of reminds me a little bit of when that was a feature in Tiger Wood's golf on the Wii (probably the best golf game ever made). If it was raining in the town that day where the course was located, you had to deal with rain as you played.

Oh wow. That sounds really cool. The flying into the hurricane bit that is although Tiger Wood’s golf is neat too.

well, the Tiger woods game came out 11 years ago. It was pretty damn spectacular for the time. They got the reports through the Wii Weather Channel... Which is something else that I miss about that system. Sure, our phones can tell us today, but damn it I want my game console to also tell me the weather.

I miss an accurate count of how long we have played a game. Not any of this "played for about twenty hours."
Completed Re4 again. Saddler is the easiest boss? I didn't need to fully upgrade my weapons. There were a couple of difficultly spikes mostly because I didn't repeat a difficult section and ended up with no ammo. Holy hell I forgot about the cheesy trial and error jetski escape from an exploding island. Why did they take the worst part of Re4 and duplicate it for re6? Started Ada extra content got bored AF repeating the same areas. Ada controls weirdly too, aims too high by default. I should get back to re6 but can't be bothered. Maybe tomorrow.
Omfg re6 Jake campaign. Tank fight, motorbike escape. Soooo bad. Just awful. Got stuck in main room cause I didn't see where you could pull Cheri up. And the super fast annoying lizards can kiss my f ing ass.
I finished Dark Souls, twice in a row!
Took down all the bosses, dlc and hidden included.
Collected most of the weapons, armours and spells.

Ssh, people are meant to pretend that levelling has no affect in Souls games! (Or they were when I played DS2, at least.)

Damn, as far as me.
Huh? That’s what I’m saying that upscaling the image from the Switch to 4K is less demanding then having a Switch actually render in 4K.

I have a new Windows laptop and am tempted to subscribe to Gamepass.
You mention a new laptop on a gaming forum but neglect to share the specs? We want details dammit!

Ah, ok.
