Oh god, that would have been horrible. I already have Dark Souls II & III with all the dlc for both on the Xbox One. Forcing people like me to spend $80+ just to get the remastered first game would have been a terrible idea. This is just a convenient package for people to get the whole Dark Souls package in one shot.
$80? It wouldn't need to be that much. Is that what they're selling the Trilogy for? I was thinking more like the price of a normal game.
This looks fun as hell. Why have I not gotten it yet?
If I'm not mistaken, Leo has played this. If that's true, was this any good Leo? It was kind of on my watchlist too, but lord knows at the rate I play now I might get to it in 2020.

$80 is fair I think.
Of course you would say that. For you, $80 IS the price of a normal game.

I know these guys Falcom are like the unsung heroes of JRPG's. I've never played their stuff, but they all rate extremely high. They have another game on the PS4 called Tokyo Xanadu eX+ that looks very Persona.
Still playing it, about level 50 now. There has to be some sort of levelling up of bosses regarding your level. I have been level 50 doing level 35 areas and bosses and all of a sudden you got these bosses who can wipe you out in 2 turns. Really challenging but OH so satisfying to beat them. I love how the new challenge makes me come up with workarounds to beat them. Doing things I never did before. The battle system is so versitile you can buff and debuff or concentrate attacks, arrange support skills and equipment, even swap jobs. It sounds complicated but it couldn't be easier to work out.
Also, godamn, it can be dramatic. It's hilarious and epic that I was looking at Olberic meeting Erdhart and they are these two tiny chibi pixellated characters facing off. But there is this epic orchestral music and voice acting and I'm getting chills.
"PlayStation 4 is still the best-selling platform of 2018 so far. It could solidify that position with the launch of Spider-Man in September, which I’ve heard is outperforming expectations in terms of preorders."
I'm still on the fence as to whether I want this right now. I'm already getting Tomb Raider and Valkyria Chronicles 4 in September, so this needs to be amazing for me to jump. But I'm impressed in the pre-orders considering Amazon seems to have a policy where you can't pre-order Sony 1st party games.
Octopath was the top selling game? Wow that really is something. I can't decide if someone over at Square Enix is going to get a promotion for how far it has exceeded expectations, or if someone is going to be fired because they completely underestimated the sales. Apparently, this game is virtually sold out everywhere in Japan due to low shipments of it. I suspect that might also be the case in the West.

Probably both. They're also probably trying to figure out how to get it on every other device now.

Crash came out earlier for the PS4 and later on the other systems so that’s probably why it’s not in the top 10 list on the PS4.
Oh....shit I forgot about that.

GTA V continuing to chart so high is just getting silly at this point.

Yeah there were stories. It did sell out on Amazon in various countries. I think the demo was more powerful than any marketing. And the nostalgia too. I wish they would remake many older 16bit games with these HD 2D visual style and awesome orchestral music.
Dante looks like a badass now instead of an emo weasel.
Man, 2019 is going to be ridiculous.

Octopath Traveler takes the no 1 spot in NPD!

Very impressive fot octopath. More impressive that GTAV is still up there. The entire top 10 is just old games.
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
- PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
- Far Cry 5
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege
- The Crew 2
- FIFA 18
- Call of Duty: WWII
- NBA 2K18
- Overwatch
PlayStation 4Anyone else surprised that Crash Trilogy is @2 on the Xbox, but not even in PS4's top 10?

Great to see Octopath Traveler doing so well.

Who doesn't have GTA at this point? Crazy.
If only. It's below RRP.
Wasn’t too crazy about it. I guess the formula is just too stale for me.
The Alexa version is going to be the definitive one.
But can I play it on the toilet? I guess you could, but the tv would have to be in the bathroom.
No deal.
