I got a warning from Nintendo for writing "Poop" on a Splatoon post.
Someone reported my post because it said Poop.
Well it’s certainly not me! How am I supposed to fit a hamster in a mech in my butt? 🤔
Very carefully.
I was wondering if Richard Gere had an account here.
You don’t say. Interesting, very interesting. 🤨
I just finished Yooka Laylee.
Well, the game is definitely a cool throwback to the N64 days and has the same charm and cool touches that those games did. But unfortunately, it doesn't quite have the same polish and doesn't hit the highs that those games did. I mean, I guess I can't really blame them...it must be hard to try to match that level with a very small team relying on crowdfunding instead of being backed by billions of dollars. In a way it's amazing it's even close.
I feel Playtonic have the skill to really grow with future games though. Most of the problems here revolve around dated mechanics and unnecessary fluff. It actually has the exact same problem that Recore had, where the first 75% of the game is great and flows wonderfully. Then, they try to force an absolutely horrid fetch quest on you like it's 2003...and the final boss once you get there is one of the most frustrating bosses I've ever experienced in a 3D platformer. I cannot stand when developers try to fluff a game with a fetch quest...especially when you're given no clues whatsoever on where you should be looking. Wind Waker did it, Metroid Prime 2 had a terrible one...Rare's own Jet Force Gemini had a bad one. And now this game.
The good news is that most of the game is very enjoyable. That great humor that these guys are known for is back. Likeable characters. Some really cool level designs, and some neat bosses outside of the final one. Should be cool to see what they do next.
Good review edge. Prey doesn't end, I should finish it today, great game. I did buy the splatoon dlc, need to try to play it soon.
Showtime is going to make a Halo show, the same one that Spielberg has been trying to make forever it seems, well it got a showrunner and a huge budget. Could be fun, I'll be watching.
Yes! SH1 is still the best one. 2 is so damn boring, horrible case of story over gameplay. SH1 is better in almost every way.
I tried to get a new copy on Ebay and missed out. I'm not too interested (at least not before your review) but think it is interesting enough to beat if I can pick it up for under $25.
That's pretty hardcore dawg.
Wut?
I still need to play 2. Certainly the story is the only thing anyone mentions about it.
I'm now onto the Resident Evil Remaster, and getting rekt by the camera and aiming controls. Any tips, or do I need to stop trying to climb the proverbial mountain?
What's everyones opinion on Quantic Dreams these days?
I hear that their last 2 games weren't very good? I think the latest game got 5/10 reviews.
Will you still get hyped about their new announcements or would you be more skeptical now?
Did you never play the old games? Tank controls are relative it becomes second nature for me to control them, you kind of have to rewire how to control the character. Aiming should be auto, just aim and it should lock onto an enemy, fire away. You can aim up or down but straight ahead is best in most cases. Shotgun aim up, let zombie get close for instant beheading and no chance for crimson head.
I like their games, Detroit was very good. I feel like I was the only person to really like beyond.
Detroit has a meta of 79 GG. So not 5/10 at all. I have reviews to write today!
They actually released Deception 4 on both PS3 and PS4....so are they offering both versions free? I've had it on my wish list for a long time.
The types of games they create are very niche and not for everyone. I think people like us that can appreciate the finer details in things tend to like QD's stuff more than the average joe. I mean, they're never going to be mainstream...they're so lucky they get the backing of 1st-party publishers to push their shit, otherwise I think they would be very under the radar.
It took me 29 hours to finish. But 10 hours of that was the fetch quest at the end.
