New Single-Player Expansion Coming to Splatoon 2: The first paid DLC is coming to Splatoon 2 this summer. Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion adds a hefty new single-player mode that lets players play as new character Agent 8, an Octoling (!) with lost memories. The new single-player campaign features 80 missions, as well as new stories that shed new light on beloved characters. Players that complete the Octo Expansion campaign will unlock the ability to play as Octolings in multiplayer battles. While Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion launches this summer, players can pre-purchase the DLC starting today in Nintendo eShop to immediately receive Octo-themed in-game gear to use in battle right away. (The full version of the game is required to use DLC.)

Major Splatoon 2 Update: In April, Splatoon 2 is getting a major free update (Version 3.0) that contains 100+ new pieces of gear, more stages rolling out throughout spring (Piranha Pit, Camp Triggerfish and Wahoo World) and a new rank (Rank X). Rank X is an extreme rank, even higher than S+.

Gear upgrading has been my obsession so far and now they are dropping 100 more new pieces?

The Octolings have weird faces in the expansion. I like the look of some of it, more urban like the intro tutorial level of Splatoon 2.

I'm not a huge fan of the abstract Mario Galaxy style levels of the normal SP campaign.

Seems the Japanese N.Direct had more stuff in it not in the English one.

WTF, even in HD, Okami looks blurry.

Cutting edge tech built off of the PS4 architecture. Fully backwards compatible with all PS4 games. PSnow service to be expanded to include all Playstation consoles. Jak 4 is a launch title.

So, anyone excited for the Travis Touchdown game?  Anyone?  

It all seems very arcade-y to me, can't say I'm holding my hopes up for it.

Would make all kinds of sense.  IF PSnow is expanded upon in a meaningfull manner, I might consider getting it for a couple of months to play all those deliicious exclusives I've missed out on.  I'd hope that Jak 4 is not THE launch game, because I doubt that the franchise has the kind of weight to be a killer app in this day and age.

Jak 4 could be pretty sick...I know ND wanted to make one. With the time that has passed since the PS2 days and with how much more accomplished they are as a developer, I'd imagine Jak 4 would be pretty different.

Sounds a lot like Valve is looking to release a console of some sorts, or at least a more walled off ecosystem.  All this talk about creating hardware and software together...  Either that or they're stepping into the cardboard peripheral market.

I think if you watch the video again, most of the footage was of the minigames. At the end they say there is an adventure mode and they show a few snippets of it. So I think it will be like NMH2, with the indy games taking the place of those 8bit minigames and then a more normal NMH style game as the meat.

The Travis game is going to be just a collection of weird games. the main story is just something that ties them together. I'll get it for cheap.
