To be fair the original game got great reviews, but it was an absolute bomb as far as sales go. The fact that a sequel was made for any platform is actually kind of remarkable.
Glad Splatoon is finally getting an Aviator jacket
Now I need my Red Sukajan from Splatoon 1 back:
How gruesome! Why would anyone maim themselves like that? Shredding or cutting off tentacles, all in the name of fasion? Or is there more going on behind this? Is this ideal forced onto these poor youngsters by some relegious conviction or unrealistic expectations cultivated in their pop culture? This gruesomeness has to be stopped! #naturalfresh
My WiiU is dieing (or dying, I can never figure out which one it is). The connection between the pad and the console is very bad and will drop often if there's more than a meter and a half between them. I've never really had a console die on me before. I think I'll see if I can't pick up a new gamepad on the cheap second hand somewhere. I'm guessing mine has had one drop on the floor too many.
Xbox one S bundles with one game are going for €179 here at the moment...
*taps fingers on table while eyeing low bank account*
Don’t do it.
Hush you reason! How will I ever spend more than reasonable on stuff I have no time for if you keep interfering?
PS4 is like $200 get that
PS4 is like €280. And Xbone has the added boon of back compat. Viva Piniata. Vanquish. Lilipop Chainsaw. Catherine. No More Heroes Remake. The whole of Halo. Forza Horizon. Dark Souls without having to patch it up myself to be able to play it. Er... Blinx?
World of Final Fantasy just went up on Steam. Pretty cool.
I have it on ps4. It's surprisingly fun and filled to the brim with franchise references.
Just beat Ass Creed Origins.
Really well made game but it still doesn't match the magic of the Ezio titles to me. I don't think the series will ever reach that peak again, in terms of freshness and spectacle. Origins is great stuff, good story and good characters...but it suffers from the same shit as every open world game. It's too big and the missions start to feel too samey. Scaling the pyramids didn't give me the same thrill as scaling all the cool shit in Italy either. I thought they would, but they didn't. Maybe if this was the game that came out in 2009, they would have.
8.9/10
Ezio was an asshole
Just do it!
Belgian and Hawaiian politicians call for Battlefront 2 loot box ban.
What's the difference between a loot box and a Kinder Surprise, other than the latter containing chocolate and the guarantee of an fun toy?
Is the issue the range in quality of prizes?
Some funny subtitles in the news headlines GG.
I've seen these comparisions before, but they don't hold water, at least not in my opinion. If you want to go with the Kinder Surprise's, you'd have to start by saying you've already been charged €60 just for entrance, and all the store sells are Kinder Surprise eggs. Same goes for the CCG comparision. CCG is actually a F2P model.
Loot boxes aren't wrong per se, it's the combination of them, in a triple AAA game with a pricepoint to match, and the fact that progress is actually tied to these loot boxes. The vg247 article notes how having the right star cards really impacts gameplay, and not just by granting you different buns, but by giving you noticably higher health and manouvrability. Stuff like that is just game breaking.
edit: I made a typo, that should have been 'guns'. I'm leaving buns in though, it cracked me up.
I like different buns.
I’m a buns man, myself.
