Bear in mind this is coming from someone who puts no weight in Bioware's writing (they can make some enjoyable atmospheres, though), and only likes 3 games they've made (Jade Empire, MDK2 and the original KOTOR).

The combat system in Banner Saga is pretty fun, albeit a little shallow. But there's just not enough fighting, for me, when everything else is shit.

I'm out of surgery now.  No word on if they did the wang extension that I asked for.

I feel pretty good.  My thigh feels a little tight and sore but otherwise I'm fine.  I haven't had any back pain which makes me happy.  I'm glad to have some relief.

Yep, total hip replacement in my left leg.  This was the time to do it.  It was affecting everything, I had knee pain, groin pains, hip pains and lower back pain during the last month.  I couldn't play with my children at all and I didn't want want to be known as the crippled dad.  I know I'll never run again but I certainly would like to walk without hobbling everywhere.  I'm hoping this will drastically change my gait.

I watched some letsplays because of the hype a couple of years ago and came to the same conclusion.

Thanks for all the well wishes.  My thigh is really sore but I'll take that over pain.  After my first physical therapy session yesterday, I had a dizzy spell because my blood pressure got low.  The nurses said this is quite common.  All I wanted to do was sleep, but my wife and nurse kept asking me questions.  I did more extensive therapy today.  I had to walk up and down steps, get in and out of a car, and dress myself.  I'm now chilling in my seat, watching  downloaded movies and playing Splatoon.
