I thought it was a stregy game of some sort... if it's a brawler then I'd consider it.

No, it's an action game.  You're avatar is just surrounded by a swarm of heroes, kinda like in Pikmin, because the more heroes you have, the stronger your attacks become.  I found it to be great fun and the whole game is just stacking one superlative on top of the other to the point where I was laughing out loud at every other ludicrous setpiece.

I will pick it up then. I was always relunctant to get it as I know Foolz hates it.

I should end up owning a solid Wii U library, after all, before it's all said and done. Let's see, I have Mario Kart 8, Smash U (don't really care about it but it's already there so meh), Super Mario Cats (no use for mario/luigi u with this), Splatoon (lol), Nintendoland (actually pretty cool and fun family game), XCX, and even a couple party games such as MP10 and AC Amiibo Festival which aren't for super serious single player gaming but still a blast for family playing.

What am I missing besides weird shit I'm not getting such as Captain Toad or Wonderful 1001 or whatever? Bayonetta 2 could be a good one. Maybe Pikmin 3? I never played a Pikmin game before, maybe it is fun.

Yeah Baoy 2 fershur.

I want to own 50 games for the Wii U, I am a long way off at this point.

That is because Foolz is a cynic who hates all things good and fun.

I'd still like to pick up Pikmin 3. I'm still contemplating getting the new Paper Mario RPG and Lego City.

If you non-Splatoon playing goons get an NX, I hope you pick up the new Splatoon so we can play together. I don't want randoms or hoards of Japanese on my team. I want you guys.

Also the feeling of shooting you in the face works too. Nyaa

"The issue this time seems to primarily revolve around Nintendo's upcoming Q2 financial reports, due to be announced on 26th October. A key factor is a report by Nikkei stating that it believes Nintendo will report a 5 billion Yen (approximately $48 million) operating loss for the first six months of this financial year; analysts have previously been estimating a 3 billion Yen profit"

On a personal note I'd like to point out how I posted all about what the Switch was - months in advance.

You guys blathering on about how it wasn't news and just a rumour etc. Well, the rumours were right about Tegra, right about form factor, split controllers, hybrid, modular controllers, Splatoon and MK ports, basically everything. Even the mockups I posted ended up to be accurate.

So suck it.

LOL

Let me have this victory!

Seriously though, is this the first time the patents were right? The modular controller/handheld patent basically turned out to be exactly right. Pretty suprised Nintendo didn't hide it better.

That's a shame as they're enjoyable fare.  I've only played a few, but they're well done and very witty.

Meh.  I still think my ideas were way better than what we're getting now.  I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy using it, but this is about the worst thing Nintendo could have done in my opinion as an armchair analyst.

I don't know if it is a matter of Nintendo not hiding it well, so much as it is about how hard people were looking for it. A lot of people and resources were devoted to digging up any information about the Switch. I suspect moreso than any other console before it. And Nintendo's continued silence about it only made it more maddening for people. Christ, there was a new thread about the NX every other day at the GAF.

I think part of the question really has to be how long was Nintendo sitting on something that could have been shown? Was it ready in some form at E3? TGS? The longer it's been ready the harder it would have had to have been to keep it on the lowdown.

This half arsed reveal isn't doing them any favours either.  It worked with the Wii, because back then analogue buttons were seen as a revolutionary breakthrough.  Now Nintendo themselves have shaken things up with the Wii, DS, 3DS and WiiU, so not showing everything will just lead to inflated expectations from gamers.  Just look at that rumour of the Switch having some kind of area sensing Leap-like sensors.  It's 6 months from release, nobody will be able to 'steal their ideas' in such short period of time, they should just announce all the features at once.

And now we're back on the topic of the Switch, I hope Nintendo allows for portable only games.  That way we could still see small quirky games on the go like we saw on the DS and 3DS.

I would be fine with small quirky games but I would hope to play them on the TV.
