SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
My game buying has slowed considerably( doctor's bills, other shit) so when a huge game that I know I'll spend hours and hours on, like Uncharted, comes out, I save in advance. That's why I can't contribute to the discussion about Doom or Overwatch or maybe even No Man's Sky. It's Uncharted 4 then possibly back to the hobo bin. Maybe I'll pick up No Man's Sky next month, maybe not. That's why I waited on Splatoon and bought Witcher 3 last year. Both were new to me, but I knew W3 would consume a lot of my time.
There's certain games that are sure day one purchases, then there's the others that I'll get....if my money is looking good. Why did I bring all this up? Oh yeah, to say why I don't contribute much to the discussion.![Nyaa](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)
Am I the only one looking forward to Paper Mario?
Pokemon fans! My son is really getting into reading and I think now may be the time to introduce a text based game like Pokemon for our summer trips. Which one would you recommend for the 3DS?
If it's like old paper Mario, but I don't think it will be.
Magic!
I'm hoping that I'll be interested in the new Paper Mario game but I'll have to see more on it. For some reason Nintendo's been kind of doing things with some of their franchises that have kind of been making me loose interest in them. I'm not sure what I'd call it because I don't think I'd label it as "simplifying" or "kidifying" them. As much as I like Yoshi's Woolly World it just doesn't feel like the kind of growth I expect from the excellent Yoshi's Island that was on the SNES. They kind of seem to be doing this with Kirby games and Paper Mario games.
I'm still updating right now, so briefly - when I talk about discussion, people who are playing games usually talk about them in the specific threads on the gaming forum. So it's got nothing to do with people playing new games.
I'm saying on the news page, if there is no news, it's quiet, which is understandle as there is no news to talk about. So I update, which can be monotonous - so adding something quirky or different or interesting non-games wise keeps things somewhat more interesting for me - in terms of doing the updates.
What I've noticed is, as good as Nintendo's games are they don't really make anything truly revolutionary anymore. Mario Galaxy in 2007 was probably the last Nintendo game to feel really groundbreaking. Its 2016....that was a long time ago. I think a big reason why is their insane focus on controller designs. Instead of making groundbreaking software and intuitive "normal" controls and hardware, its like they try to force controller interfaces to be groundbreaking through the software, or they rely on a new art style in Zelda instead of coming up with new gameplay (hopefully the new one is fresh).
They also take WAY too long to release games. No new Zelda for 5 years. No Metroid, one new Mario which is kind of an in-between title in that it wasn't the 64/Sunshine/Galaxy style title as usual (3d world)...Pikmin 3 took forever, etc. You watch, they're going to blow their load in the NX's first year and then its going to be a wasteland after that.
I buy new games all the time. I just don't play them the day they come out, most of the time. I will play Uncharted 4 after Tomb Raider is done, also Doom. Then I have to get back to Dark Souls 2, I have Timesplitters 3 going right now, P.N.03, and a few others...its too much.
So the Tetris movie is an $80 million sci fi thriller planned as a trilogy.
There are no words.
As I've said to other people in the past, if you get tired of a franchise just skip it and wait a few years till you feel ready to jump back in. I haven't played a Paper Mario since Super Paper Mario. I think there have been several if not more than that released since then - Mario RPGs I mean.
I want the new game to be like TTYD and the N64 original. At the moment it looks so damn similar graphically and artwise it's hard to even distinguish it from what an HD Paper Mario gamecube would look like. There's a disconcerting lack of information about it and Nintendo itself recentely.
The Tetris movie confuses the hell out of me. It's Tetris... why? Why is this happening? There's a million great scripts out there and they're trying to force a Tetris movie to happen.... I'm lost.
Bound to be a real tear jerker.
Today is the day my fate is decided... Able bodied or disabled. Work worthy or home bound. I'll have to worry about my back the rest of my life, but it won't be much of a life if I'm stuck at home for the rest of it. It literally all comes down to this day...
GoGo Phantom-back! Here's hoping for you Leo.
Thanks! Nervous, nervous, nervous...
