Digital Foundry - Nintendo 3DS vs New 3DS
It tells us that the initial launch hardware was unbalanced, that the GPU was left severely under-utilised, owing to a severe lack of CPU resourceseurogamer.net gamingeek
This game. This damn game. Its so incredible the PS4 clearly cant handle it, the thing is chugging bad. Best advertisement for a new model I have seen so far.
Missed the big Final Fantasy XV event but it sounds like it was really awesome. Look forward to checking out the videos and trying the demo. I'm really looking forward to this game, I loves me my Final Fantasies.
The poster on GAF made it seem as if some devs would actively be targeting the PS4K, with little consideration for how it runs on vanilla PS4's. If that's true than it's a boneheaded move by Sony. I suppose only time will tell. Will the PS4K simply enable a jump from say 30fps to 60fps and stuff like better resolutions and textures, or will devs focus on gettng a game to run at a stable 30fps on PS4k, leaving the vanilla PS4 limping behind at 20fps?
The way those wings fold out is so unrealistic Surely something that will undergo pressure mainly from below would unfold in exactly the opposite way so that the actual construction would be better suited to cope with the physics being applied to it while under load.
Sure, you could argue it's a fantasy video game, but when you have graphics looking like those, there should be some level of logic and credibility applied to character design.
The PS4K sounds like a great reason to just upgrade my PC graphics card every 3 or 4 years. Really, if I have to buy a $400 console upgrade what's the point in not just going PC?

Good point. I'm sure people would like to point out couchability, where PC gaming usually happens at your desk. I feel that that argument is going to be proven wrong in the next couple of years though, what with stuff like the Steam Link and the expected rise of small form factor PC's for the living room to accomodate all that new VR tech.

I have left high end consoles for PC ten years ago and have regretted nothing. The PS4 and Xbox One are the worst of both worlds. Not cheap, tons of updates, glitchy unfinished games, upgrades, cumbersome UI, and a closed system. At least Nintendo systems are relatively cheap, simple, and have gimmicks and exclusives.

I agree with this. If only Sony and MS would go third party...

Even that argument is foolish. I've been PC gaming in my game room on my tv just like I do with my consoles for years. PC's have gotten much easier to build and use however you want and since Windows 7 they've also gotten much more stable with much less problems, whereas consoles have gotten much more complicated and more of a hassle than they used to be. The two formats are virtually in a tie now....so if I have to spend money on upgrades, the PC makes a hell of a lot more sense.
ReviewTechUSA actually has a video talking about exactly this....I will post it.

Yes, but I'm talking about those that don't have a dedicated game room. I have my consoles in the livingroom and my PC is at my desk, as it's mainly used for work. Perhaps the future will be that the home computer sits next to the telly in the living room, and the streaming device sits in the desk area, as lag is less of an issue there. If my pc was small form factor, I could definitely see this working for me.
I need some update advice. What colour do I mark a story when there is a PC version? Usually if a game is multiformat I leave it colourless. But there are these console exclusive games that also have PC versions and I don't whether to leave them colourless because they are on more than one platform or to mark them Sony Blue or MS Green.
Quantum Break for instance, SF5, Shenmue 3 etc.
Also on the big stories as black colour. I do a lot of updates, and usually there is only 1, maybe no black marked stories at all in one day. But you guys tend to post only a couple of stories and they are always marked in black? Feels weird I can't make sense of it. Usually I mark a review round-up in black, a sale or something that would be beneficial to a particular person, time limited.
Or occasionally a new trailer/game announcement.

You're just figuring this out now? Fuck that guy with a double sided dildo. Stick one end in his mouth so he can suck on it like his baba.
*sigh*
If only we could of said this sort of stuff on Gamespot.

The PS4k is tempting but pointless since I don't have a 4K tv.
The fuck? If MS or Nintendo had a Wii 1.5 or XB1.5 releasing two years after their new console we'd be ripping them to shit. Talking about how it splits the userbase and how burned existing owners feel, about how the power increase 2x GPU is barely worth it, or how it doesn't even run games in 4k, just upscales it like your 4K TV would do anyway. About how much money people are wasting buying the same system twice rather than another system they don't own where they would actually get different games to play. Or we'd be shitting on how PSVR really requires you to have to buy another new console more powerful because the PS4 isn't up to muster on powering PSVR.

This game, I cant even comprehend it, its gigantic, its bigger than anything ever made.
It's going to have be bigger than XCX, which already bigger than multiple open world games combined.

Roads? Where we are going we dont need.. roads.
You can already do this in XCX. And you don't need roads their either.

Don't do this. You're mentally preparing yourself to rape your own wallet.
Miitomo and the new MyNintendo have both launched. I think there's a little too much "interact with us to get points" but some people are into that so I can't say there's really a problem. The initial round of discounted games look pretty good and they included a few like 30% off of Splatoon that I did not expect to see. And Miitomo seems to be an entertaining enough time-waster for the toilet.
GG watch that FFXV trailer, nothing except a few open wildlife environments in XCX compares. When XCX has a moving train battle, a guy flying through airships, stealthily invading bases, fighting things bigger than a colossus, going to giant cities, playing a pinball game, sword fighting samurai, battling a leviathan through a city, and have the nature shots that look BETTER than XCX amazing world, then you can compare the two.

Europe gets 40% off! YEAH 'MOPE !
It just doesn't have the same ring to it as 'MURICA!
Could have saved you an hour. I've known the date forever...

IndieGamerChick: NX more powerful than PS4/XB1, easy to develop for [rumor]

and there is no chance I get a ps4k unless something happens to my ps4. Fuck them for ruining console gaming.
Didn't you compare the two right there?
