The Ryo pic looks like a disaster to me. Devoid of any personality or colour.
They should make it look more Dreamcasty - more arcadey.
Never do they say it's a new IP though. Against all odds I'm going to hope they're working on a new Wave Race.
Also an interesting point made about how Retro is one of Nintendo's most expensive studio's and how this probably excludes the option of them working on multiple projects in tandem.
Good to see Nintendo acknowledging the success of Splatoon by viewing it as an IP that can go toe to toe with their other, more established, IP.
Currently downloading a closed beta I somehow managed to get a key for. This will be the first time I've done something like this, and to be frank, I'm not sure if I'm interested in playing this much. If anything, it might help the dev out somewhat as my GPU came in just below their required minimum spec.
Of course they're expensive. They're a western studio who like cutting edge game engines.

More confusing is why he doesn't hate the Dolphins. Why invest any emotion in that team at all? It's a once great franchise that will never achieve anything more than mediocrity again.

Well, I was on my way to buy Shovel Knight, which was released as a physical copy today for the WiiU. On my way there I was listening to the GameUnder Podcast 74. By the time I had gotten there, I had lost all interest in paying douple the amount for a DL indie game, and returned home without having spent a dime. Thank you podcasters, for keeping me from spending.

I need a game to share gametime with RL, so I started playing Guild Wars 2. I wonder if this one will be the MMO that grabs my attention the way an MMO should, or will it join WoW, SWTOR, Conan, LOTRO and some others that were so lukewarm I can't even recall their names. We'll see I guess. In the meantime, here's my girl.
