But now it's reversed and as a splat roller player you are the one left vunerable after the Kraken runs out. So you get cheaply killed. It hasn't evened out, it's flipped it around. All they've really done is unbalanced the game to make the machine guns better vs everything else.
And now you can't even use the inkzooka properly without a delay.
Battle, back, into B? I think you play so much ranked that you're level gets a hit too much when you lose. I try to avoid ranked when there is a shitty map x mode combo.
Post of the week.
NO YOU. Leave my slosher alone.
Also what is DS? How do you feel the inkzooka was overpowered if you never tried it? Die a lot? They made it take far longer to charge in the first update so you hardly ever get it now. It roots you to the ground so you cannot move and you can get picked off easily. It's nigh on useless for close range enemies and you need a great aim to hit far off enemies. It doesn't really hit enemies who are on a level below you either. You've got a 50/50 chance of either killing someone or getting killed yourself. And now the new update has piled on the misery by putting a delay before you can use it, so people can see it coming a mile away. You can't even activate it in ink and then pop out and use it, you pop out of the ink when you activate so people can see you. Sucks all round.
It's the only special that has got special attention for gimpage, twice over now.
The inkzooka is also the only special that can kill you through a wall, without prior notice. The hurricane's it fires travel so fast that they're impossible to dodge when you see them incoming. As with every special, there's a time and a place to use them. Inkzooka's are best used in maps with some verticallity, where you can stand bellow and just spam hurricanes in the general direction of where you're foes are, with a good chance of catching them unawares. Face it, both the inkzooka and kraken are/were woefully overpowered.
There's a difference between getting killed after using a powerfull special, or getting killed because you happen to run into someone with a kraken fully charged who'll instantly transform and kill you in the blink of an eye. The first is bad planning, as you could have withdrawn to safety before the kraken runs out, the second is just plain annoying.
I stand by my original stance that most of the tweaks are for the better and are aimed at reducing frustration by being cheaply insta-killed.
That's some crazy fucking hurricane. But yeah it's across the country. It'll bring a fuckton of rain everywhere, though. I hope the people in the east coast of Mexico are safe, this one is going to hurt. Thanks everyone for the thoughts and well wishes.
Yeah stay safe Steel, that hurricane looks crazy nasty.
Apparently, the intensity of the thing just broke the scale used to measure it (Dvorak).
When are they going to stop making shit ports for 360/PS3? These systems were outdated 4 years ago....just stop. Stop now.
PS4 and Xbone are two fucking years old (and were also outdated the day THEY launched) and Nintendo is about to launch ANOTHER next-gen system. Stop supporting 360/PS3.
If the shit gets too intense, go find yourself a Salma Hayek lookalike and grab onto those glorious tits for dear life. Then leave me a message saying "Thanks Edge".
I'm not buying anything on the Wii U with the NX ports around the corner.
I'll believe that one when I see it. Nintendo enjoys collecting people's money again and again and again waaay too much to change THAT...
You're buying an NX?
Anyone read the gamesindustry editorial on it today?
Don't know. If it has Metroid.
It's Frigay, over at the Frankenstein place. What's going on with you Transylvanians?
Stroking myself.
Dual Squelcher.
I said I only used it after the first nerf (which is technically untrue, I had a few games pre-nerf with it, but most of my time using it was post-nerf. Pre-nerf was when I first started, and even as a noob I dominated with it lol). It's one hit kill, shoots through walls, travels really quickly and doesn't require much accuracy. Whenever it does activate it's a guaranteed few kills like the Kraken unless your accuracy is awful, and it's more versatile than the Kraken because of its range. How is it bad for close range? It's great for close, short and long range. The only reason I didn't always use it is that I didn't like a lot of weapons it was attached to, and the only way it's less OP than the Kraken is because the Kraken requires virtually no skill to use at all (you don't have to aim the Kraken), and is attached to such noobish weapons.
I don't think they were even aware that I was there other than force of nature. It would have been courteous to score some elicit drugs, but they were actively high. More on this in the podcast this week.
