Tons of gamescom trailers everywhere. The FFXV trailer is the biggest troll I have ever seen.
mafia 3 looks like mafia, which means it looks rather boring.
Dark souls 3 looks like dark souls which means it looks incredible.
My copy of Rare Collection was delayed because of bad weather...so I should be getting it today instead.
RARE co-founder: no idea why Nintendo didn't buy it
Well...let me explain why:
Its because Nintendo are cheap fucks and thought it was a better idea to save some cash rather than to put more talent and resources into a legendary studio that gave them about double the amount of IP's and innovation to add into the overall Nintendo family tree. This is a no-brainer...who needs this kind of luxury?
Actually it was very close to where I work. Did not see it happen, but I did walk past it the day after to see the destruction and left satisfied! And a dog died!
Speaking of disasters, I am trying online dating. It probably won't end well, but it would produce funny stories for your amusement!
I'm not worried about you. You know jujitsu!

What went wrong though after the Microsoft purchase? Cause surely their output since (while I'm not denying there have been good games) is not of the same quility.

So Square just finished a live Q and A with fans on FFXV where they basically couldn’t say anything. They were asked about airships and they said they don’t know if it’s possible yet. WTF when is this game coming out?!?! Then they said it could be DLC. They said they are still working on the villain. This game is NO WHERE CLOSE to being finished it seems. Fucking hell.

Ninjutsu my dear, NINJUTSU!
Because Microsoft didn't have the know how Nintendo did with Rare, how to get the most out of them. For some reason, Microsoft also didn't restock their talent after people left. Tons of people left after the sale. Most of the top guys, really. Then they fell apart, like any company would do after their leaders leave. So you had no help anymore from Nintendo PLUS all these key guys leaving....not really surprising they went downhill.
Many guys left Rare before they were even up for sale. Then Microsoft came and it got even worse!
Free Radical. Most of those guys left before Perfect Dark even came out in like 1999. That's how they were able to make Timesplitters a PS2 launch game in 2000. I always forget about that first one exclusive to PS2.
I just remember laughing at how much Perfect Dark shit all over that game on the superior PS2 hardware.
Perfect Dark still shits on most FPSs today. Especially content wise
How does one explain Microsoft's attitude post aquisition though? Just complacency? They paid so much for them, why not try to make something of them ... instead of Kinect Sports?

Mario Kart room is now open 18:53 UTC
I agree with Supreme Belgium dude. Weekends are much better for Karting.Have fun for those that will play today!
The way I remember it Nintendo had first dibs on buying out the remaining 51% of Rare stock but the kicker was that anyone could bid and NIntendo had to match the highest bidder. MS put in a massive bid because they were afraid of losing, it was too rich for Nintendo. And at the time Rare was becoming slower and slower to release games.
