I think if Nintendo had a Metroid Prime 1 level game as a launch title for Wii U, a "one of the best games ever made" title, it would have moved some units. Especially with some marketing.
Hilarious that Prime 1 is the best seller, considering it had by far the most hype and is the only one Nintendo did actual marketing for.
If you remember, even by Prime 2 Matt C on IGN was writing blogs on how Nintendo had done ZERO marketing at all for Echoes. Gee...I wonder why sales have dwindled? I guarantee if Sony or Microsoft owned Metroid, it would be selling better. Provided of course the quality was up to standards. Because they would market the fucker.
I never saw advertisements for Metroid Prime when I was younger but I remember every commercial break I saw advertisements for Echoes. I used to like that commercial.

But I remember Nintendo would only have GameCube ads on a few odd channels.
Just played an hour and a half of Splatoon online. Wooooh!
I was ON FIRE. Not my words, the game said so once my win rate reached 10. Seriously, all you guys holding out on Splatoon, there's plenty content right now. 8 maps and more weapons than you'll ever need. Wooooh! Racked up over 10 kills multiple times. On game we completely dominated. By the end the other team had covered 6.4% of the field. Lowest score I've ever seen!
Yeah, I'm headed off to bed now. Slim chances of me falling asleep...
edit: if this is the 'new' Nintendo they should just let Miyamoto retire. If they kan keep pumping out games with this level of gameplay and polish, they'll never need games thought up while gardening again.
So. I've played about 30 hours of Bloodborne. Played about 15 hours of Witcher 3 and about 5 hours of Batman. Lots of Puzzle and Dragons... but I'm starting to think my gaming days are done... I just don't have the time or the energy any more! I'll still try to pop in and visit sometimes though!

I hear ya, Leo. The only gaming seem to do lately are Sims games, and the occasional Nintendo game (Dr Mario 3DS, atm), which totals around 10 hours or less per week for me. i just don't have the patience to play most games after working all day, and I've been doing more non-gaming activities too. That being said, don't "try" to pop in and vist. Do visit often. As Foolz said, you don't need to game to post here.
As soon as I finish batman and witcher I will probably get it.
As soon as I finish the 100 games in my backlog I will probably get it too. Keep a spot open for me in the lobby.
