I was thinking the same. Maybe my preorder can be better served for PS plus instead. Maybe I could get Splatoon in August.
The splatoon direct
Guys ready for the Last run!
When you are done, check my Topic!
IGA speaks!
I just played about 20 minutes of Splatoon! I hate the gyro controls, which is the only reason I have stopped playing to type this. Other than that, it's great fun! I did watch some of that Splatoon Direct, and it's complete BS that Nintendo is locking content. I'll most likely still get the game anyway, though.
I played the first of the three demo hours early this morning. Didn't enjoy it enough to bother with the other two. Seriously thinking about cancelling my preorder. If I do get the game it will not be because I think I will enjoy playing it. Would just be doing my bid to encourage Nintendo to take more chances, try new things and expand their IPs and the genres they dabble into.

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Sorry you didn't enjoy the game, Bugsy, but I can't imagine ever buying a game I didn't like just to support the dev. Wouldn't be worth it to me.
You ca turn off gyro aim. I went back to it this time. Fun fun fun.
Well I had fun. Played the full final hour of the demo. Sadly I won't be able to buy it. Maybe later in the year. Found out yesterday that we need to replace a giant chunk of our roof, and wouldn't you know that costs more than a new car. So back to freemium cell phone games for me!
Oh but hey, how about the blooper mini-game. That was kind of fun. Better than the original Ice Climbers.
What blooper mini-game?
Wait. There are Bloobers in the game?!
How did you miss it? During the loading and match-making screens there's a game you can play on the Wii U tablet. It's basically one of those endless jumping cellphone/mobile games in the style of an early 8-bit NES game. You play as a blooper and you bounce up and up until you either get caught by a rising tide from the bottom of the screen, or you reach your goal (a little bird). At the third level of it, you have to dodge stationary cheep-cheeps as you jump. Not a great game, but a fun little time waster all the same.
Oh according to IGN the game is called Squid Jump. It'll be unlockable via Amiibo challenges it seems, along with two other games.
Someone got some video of it:

Fuck our lives...that sucks man.
Bloopers!
Match making only took a few seconds for me, and I never looked at the Updad.
In the end you will not get laid and be quite a few dollar poorer.
So better spend that money on hookers!
