Can somebody please explain the whole Gamergate thing to me?
I honestly still to this day have no fucking clue what the hell this shit is about, and I'm a fucking gamer! I can only imagine the average person's understanding of this shit. I was just watching a new AlphaOgemaSin vid on how Tim Shaefer spoke at the GDC 2015 and I guess pissed everyone off for comments about Gamergate....and I need to know what this is about.
As far as I can tell, it was just some random idiots posting anti-female comments on forums, then somehow it became the word of gamers everywhere according to the usual anti-gaming people? But then I also read some actor was the one who started Gamergate? I'm confused.

Aspro explained it in the thread but I'm still oblivious to it all.
I really wish Xenoblade was ported to Wii U as a launch game. Just bumping it up to HD, fixing the frame rate, and adding Gamepad screen maps and shit would have been awesome.

It sounds like Nintendo will be porting a lot of GC/Wii games...... to New 3DS.
So what's everyones take on VR now that things are getting real? Will it revolutionize everything, or is it this gen's waggle?
Of course it's as revolutionary as motion controls, but luddites such as yourself who called motion controls waggle will kill it as a mainstream thing.

Hey now. Hey now! I was a big fan of motion controls. I'm only calling It waggle now because of the sheer inneptitude of most devs to do anything remotely interesting with it.

I think the problem with all these things since the Wii controller is that they are revolutionary in SOME ways, but also not very good at all for SOME types of games.
People like the traditional controller because it works extremely well no matter what its used for. Same with Kb/mouse.
I was always torn by the Wii controller. Its awesome at specific things, but then in other ways there was a lack of control that felt like things were going backwards instead of forward.
Things that aren't unanimously better in all ways typically don't last.

Why you gotta ruin the joke?!
And to answer your question more seriously, I think VR, at this stage, will have a harder time catching on than motion controls (which did not beyond last gen), even though it's more easily applicable to most games. Who apart from rich and/or crazy people are going to buy a VR headset that's almost the price of a console? And why, with this in mind, would the majority of devs/publishers support it? Motion controls had the advantage of the Wii being built around them. Virtual reality doesn't. Maybe when the PS5 packs in Morpheus (which it won't unless price can be drastically reduced) things might take off.
I've always found it funny the way people over here view the rest of the world, and also being "patriotic" and such. I remember having a conversation with someone about whether they would move to another country if things ever got really bad here, and they said something that made it sound as if moving to another place is unpatriotic or something. So I said you do realize that our ancestors had to abandon the country of their origin to come here right? So what's the difference? Most people here came from Europe at some point...they had to pack up and leave friends and family behind at some point. There's so many people here that don't even seem to realize this anymore.
That always worked on the westerns, a swig of whiskey a string and a door knob.
Well it works, or at the very least it makes me not care about the pain anymore. I will say the suggestions I've gotten from friends about relieving oral/teeth related pain has almost been comical. I've gotten everything from weed and/or liquor to mashed garlic with salt water to white bread with tabasco sauce on it. It's 2015. You'd think we'd have a pill for it now.
I don't think it's suitable for enough types of games to be revolutionary. I think HoloLens will be more revolutionary then VR.

I started playing it again Yesterday. When I finished last time I only defeated King Knight and Spector Knight. Now I'm on Propeller Knight's stage.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Both situations call for violent sex.
