I wouldn't be surprised by this at all. I'm not totally sure how it works in the world of video game development, but I have to believe that second Sonic Boom got released it working at Big Red Button would very quickly become a black eye on any devs resumes. I'd want to jump before the game was released too.

Soooooo... I'll probably be getting an Xbone during the Black Friday deals. The Master Chief Collection is my target. I haven't played on an Xbox since the original, and even then I didn't have access to Xbox Live. So, question: Will I be able to download patches for games without paying for an XBL subscription? What about the 15 GB patch that includes all the Master Chief Collection multiplayer maps? Only reason I ask is because I don't see much of a point to paying for XBL until I'm ready to do online multiplayer, and I really only want to do that when the biggest bugs are fixed.

Started Halo 2 today. What a difference the improved visuals make, and the new cinematics are just awesome. The only thing that's not awesome is that they made Miranda Keyes look like a plain jane manly lesbian instead of the cute chick she was before.

Her and the new Claire Redfield should get together.

No, but going to South East Asia has confirmed, the chicks there really dig me. In Yanghao there were 3 girls, who didn't know each other checking me out at the same time. I felt like a piece of meat. And all the Korean girls in the hotel were eyeing me up constantly.

Yeah, well before setting down in Hong Kong they hand out this information sheet saying that Middle East Respiritory Disease is spreading in the area and if you develop a cough, breathlessness, fever etc you should report it to a doctor and wear a face mask as it can be very bad if not treated. So I developed a cough and breathlessness and still have it now. A lot of people in airports have the same worrying chesty, dry cough. The only reason I didn't report it is because I had a cold the week before leaving, but it's been several weeks now and the cough isn't going anywhere.

I've been playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection. So far I've finished 1 & 2.

I am sorry, but it can't be good.  It's scientific fact, as it's developed by Arzest, who made the cringeworthy Yoshi Topsy Turvy.  Seriously, that game is so bad, it must be some kind of metaphore for Yoshi hitting a streak of bad luck, getting in deep financial troubles, ending up an alcoholic, losing his house, and in the end being forced to sell his body doing favors for burly sailers who like kinky stuff, long tongue and riding some rough shell.  It was that bad.
